Thanks Orville, had a look but not on yet, hoping it wont be long now :)

who administered your DRO? I thought the normal turn around time was 24 hours after submission.

A week and no news? Your intermediary needs to chase this. I've never let things drag that long. I think there are some problems with the website, and it doesn't seem to be a next-day acceptance at the moment. But 2 or 3 working days is normal.
  • Hi Fatbelly, Found out yesterday it was accepted, not sure why it took so long but Im glad its finally sorted :)

Well done! One I did Friday was accepted late the next Tuesday so it does seem to be 2-3 working days at the mo.

Hi, I am looking for some advice on my situation and whether I would be suitable for a DRO??

Debt = £8,500 (credit cards, unsecured loans, payday loans, overdraft)
I am currently unemployed and on benefits
    No savings
    Do not own property
I own a car which is worth less than £1000

My landlord has been kind enough to accept housing benefit whilst I've been unemployed (of £220 per month only), however once I become employed again I have to go back to paying what I did before my job contract ended (£320 rent plus bills & council tax = total = £420). Would the DRO accept this condition that I'm paying less rent now and that my rent would go up once I start employment?

Who should I use as an intermediary - CAB or CCCS?
How many months of bank statements do I need to show?
I hope to start a new job eventually this year and my income is likely to be £1100 after tax - do other people on here earn around this much or more and were still able to continue with the DRO? Most of my expenditure goes on travelling/petrol costs.

    Thanks,
    Bubs

Bubs - it definitely looks like an option for you. Find an intermediary (CAB/Stepchange sound OK) and run the detail past them.
  • hi everyone my dro was approved back in july last year i have just done a credit file check an notice i have a court judgement issued in september last year my question is should this of been administered after the dro date as i was under the impression nothing should be done in the 12 months leading to the finalisation of the dro.
also just wondering im nearing the last 3 months of the dro so nearly over but is there still the possibility of any restiction ddro/drru being completed or any reason as to why the plan wouldnt go ahead as planned nothing has changed apart from a drop in my income. thanks for any help

hi sorry for the late reply. yes it was included.
i had been given the court papers just before the dro was approved and i explained this to the insolvecy service who said to send the form back with a token offer of £1 and a covering letter and copy of the dro which clearly stated the reference number relating to the creditor and to state i would not be making the payment.
i never recieved any other letters from the creditor after this.
