Yes, it should be added. It will probably appear on your credit report with a balance figure. If you cannot find reference/balance, your AI should write to the company using your form of authority.

thanks fatbelly, i sent off for a credit report from experian a couple of weeks ago but it wasnt on their, obviously i still want to include it as i dont want it to resurface and bite me on the bum so to speak...why do you think it wasnt on...could it be that i changed address....when i sent for it i did put my previous address down so maybe now it will be on..do you think i should send for another or let the cab do it ?

If you can just get your account number from somewhere, cab can get the balance. No idea why it wasn't on your file.

one more thing..as i havnt paid this catalogue for several months will it be classed as favouring my other creditors as i have continued to pay them ?
An example of a preferential payment could be when a debtor pays a creditor in full without paying his other creditors anything at all, thus placing one creditor in a far better position than the others.

you haven't done that so the answer is no.

oh god not looking forward to that, i know i will have to do it but the thought of them reading me the riot act down the phone for defaulting fills me with dread....i just dont know what to say to them....any ideas ?

I would tell them you are looking to get a loan to cover all your debts but you need an accurate amount from them. They will probably get you to setup some sort of payment plan or make an on the spot payment, just refuse and say you need the current balance for the loan.

the dro is but income and expenditure hen you are part of a couple is hard to determine....when my dro was done they added all expenditures then divided by 2 and just used my income.

The insolvency service decided the other week though, that they only want the income and expenditure of the sole person doing the DRO. that means for couples that receive joint income we have to sit and work out the split, which is a pain...

hi, im really woried as i have just read somewhere on this thread that some-one was turned down for a dro cuz they have insurance to bury them....i have one of those axa insurance schemes i pay 10-00 a month but there is no cash in value, the only person it will benefit is my daughter when she comes to bury me, and iff i live another 20 years it wont even cover that...please tell me i dont have to surrender it after paying in for 5 years, as i said it is of no value to me....help PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!

I have never heard of a DRO being revoked for a policy that only pays up on death from where i work, so i would chat with your advisor on Thursday.

The forms do not ask for details of any life insurance policies, only the payment in the budget

You can apply for a loan for under £500 and not have to inform whomever you are subject to a dro. Anything over £500 you can still apply but you then have to tell them you are subject to a DRO.

Do you have a source for this as I've not seen any emails from the DRO unit or CIT-A?

It gets a mention on page 1 of the latest newsletter

but I think there's a fuller version somewhere.
