Although people don't have the right to directly reclaim the tax they have paid
That's a shame... I've got nearly 35 years of contributions behind me so far.

Come late night I sit here with a blanket over my knees looking like an old granny.....
I have a small fan heater, that I can only put onto 1kW or the dust burns and it sets the fire alarm off.

I spend all day and night wrapped up under a double duvet and blanket. There's no point wasting money on heating no matter what day/time it is.

I've also discovered that the Tesco Value leggings (£3) are lined in fleecy stuff. Nice and warm. And I always wear socks. Coldest night tonight - I expect to wear my beanie hat shortly/all night.

    £60 for the gym.
£60??? Do naked virgins lick the sweat from your body at that price?
Get some sale bargains at Argos and have your own gym for £100-200 max.

I did have a summer holiday this year, getting on for £600 worth.
    Well, there you go. Luxuries!

I guess I might eat, drink, wash, wear and read my way through £240 a month.
£8/day is a lot of eating/drinking/washing/wearing and reading.

    :)

Hehe, so we can both sit here typing on our computers looking silly! :D
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Yes, but nobody sees me looking silly, unless it's burglars... and in that case I think how silly I look will be the last thing on my mind.

If you've got £450/month to waste, I won't stop ... but I will be charging.

I just have my boys to tell me I look silly...which they do all the time.
I can't even have the blanket over my knees tonight, being all sentimental and a wuss, I have lent it to my cat who has had a big operation today and is feeling very sorry for himself.

Kids really laughed at me this morning, I cried like a baby dropping him off at the vets and have been acting like a mother hen since we picked him up!

He had that a few weeks ago...he was not a happy cat!

This one was for severe hip dysplasia, which is very rare in a cat. He had to have quite a radical operation as it is so severe which involves chopping the ball of the hip socket off, after a while, a muscular joint will develop.

Vet only did the left side today as it is the most severe side, he has to have the right side done in about 6 months but the vet would like to try to get it as long as he can so that the strength is built up in the new joint from today....means the poor begger is still not allowed out in case he further damages the right hip as it could then mean his new joint is not ready before he needs the right hand side done.
