I think instead of listening to a lot of nonsense about what immigrants are or aren't getting, why don't you go to night school and learn how to type & spell properly, and then get a good better paying job and improve your own lifestyle ? It isn't helpful in any way to your situation to direct spite at immigrants is it !
i dont have an issue with spelling or typing thankyou,i got and A in both my gcse and Alevel english, this is only the internet-im not writing a novel !!!!!!!! i type at speed sometimes and dont bother to go back checking things like an ocd patient, its just the internet...its not being submitted for spell check on an exam is it?? ..ppl type crappy all over the internet for quickness and well out of sheer lazyness. And i am enrolled on a course which starts in march to study law, which IS me trying to "improve my own lifestyle"....therefore you'll have to excuse me not give a crap about your arrogance.:D
There was no "spite" directed at immigrants, infact i live near some very nice ones actually,i was just stating that they get much more than anyone else claiming benefits, yet its ok to be rude about people like me,why they never get mentioned, yet your all so annoyed about benefit claimers "taking your money"Having a coke with youis even more fun than going to San Sebastian, Irun, Hendaye, Biarritz, Bayonne
or being sick to my stomach on the Travesera de Gracia in Barcelona0 -
Isn't arrogance, is only me trying to make you help yourself instead of hating others - which is a useless emotion and a waste of time.0

Thing is a lot of the chat about immigrants is a load of crap but a lot of it is true. If you are an asylum seeker then you are not given a council house but a NAS house ( A company that finds housing for asylum seekers) Now most of these houses are pprivte landlords and in general they will pay 25% more than the local rental value of the house even in student areas were the rents are much higher. These houses need to be furnished to a decent standard and all appliances must either be new or if second hand must have 12 month warranty, cookers fridges, washing machines tv's etc. The one thing you dont get is light shades. (look at blocks of NAS houses and you will see very few light shades) Now although the council dont give them houses local councils have rented out whole blocks of flats (16 stories high) . Now even though the council are not renting them directly to asylum seekers, there are still 100's of council houses removed from stock. Now this is not what I've heard this is fact, have a walk around hillfields in Coventry and you will see what I mean.
Now once the asylum seeker has been granted leave to stay then nas give them 28 days notice to vacate the house and this makes them band 1 and technicaqlly homeless so go to the top of the list and get best choice of the houses.
I dont think this is fair one little bit.
Prior to this happening almost anyone in dire need of a house could go down to the council and get a house next day, albeit in a rough area, but since then you have no chance of getting a house if you are single with no dependants, health probs etc
As I have already said this is not something I heard form my mates sisters, cousins, husbands workmate this is fact.0 -

It always make me laugh when the only thing people can throw at you on here is spelling etc. I get it a lot due to the fact that I cant be !!!!!d to use capital letters at the start of the sentence etc usually due to only using one hand to type (saying that usaully gets snide comments too! lol)
I rarely even look at the screen never mind reading back what I have read. Not that fussed really.0 -
yes its rubbish...my friend it sent round to these peoples homes twice a week to put money onto their gas and electric meters paid for by manchester city council. it is part of his job..yet no one is coming round to my house to put free money onto my meters are they??? ....maybe i should leave the country and come back in a few years as an imigrant and i might get the same thing eh?...its not rubbish--this IS what he does.
there is a difference between immigrants and asylum seekers.
immigrants unless they are naturalised into citizens(that takes years) do not get any benefits. asylum seekers on the other hand get benefits.
immigrants do not get social housing.
the folk u r talking about are perhaps asylum seekers . i agree with u about them getting too much, this is where the policy has to change.0 -

Don't be so silly.
In any case, your grammar and sentence construction is appalling so perhaps one ought to look closer at home before criticising others for their English skills?
Pathetic.0 -
Well, look - the fact is on here there's little else to judge people by. When we meet someone, human nature is to base your first impression on their voice / accent, the clothes they wear, the way they smell... online, all you've got is their typing prowess and their ability to articulate themselves. That's why it comes up so often!
But it's very off-topic, so let's return to slagging off toffs, chavs and foreigners please...Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0 -

I asked before, and I don't think you answered - are you intending to become a lawyer, or is it something that just interests you?...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

It is rubbish. Absolute rubbish, your mate is spinning you a line. Immigrants do not get everything handed to them on a plate.
You do get free money, into your bank account, remember?...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0
