Hello all!!!
Glad so say I am back to it now as have had my laptop sorted... I am now officially back online:D
Couldnt use ds2 laptop anymore as his decided to die too!!!
Anyways, finances still in a bit of a pickle although Im sure it wont take much to sort them all out:)
Spent a lot of today browsing threads I have missed and catching up on old favs!
Spend a £1 today on a loaf of bread. Plenty of food in cupboards so will be trying to use up stocks between now and september while the kids are off school.
Plans for August are as follows....
- sort out spreadsheets and try and work out a proper budget for august.
- keep food purchases to a minimum, use up stuff i already have
- go and buy school uniform for september (this is gonna be expensive with my 4)
- try not to cry when i total up cost of above!
- get up to date on paperwork (bit behind at mo)
hopefully doing all that will get me back where I should be!November NSD's - 70 -
Its lovely and sunny here this morning so hoping to get plenty of washing dry on the line.
Went through finances yesterday and they are more in a mess than I thought. Its gonna take a while to sort them out!
Will have to spend a little money this morning in the post office to send a parcel off, but have 3 bags of coppers to change up so that will probably cover the cost of the parcel:)
Gone over some of the reciepts of what ive spent since i havent had a computer and its shocking! Its amazing how easily I spend when my eye is off the ball!
Nevermind, I am back to it now and there is no sense banging yourself over the head with the naughty stick!
Today I will be spending most of the day pottering around the house, general tidying up etc. I will need to do a small shop this week but will be doing it online with Tesco as it makes me spend less even with the delivery charge!
I will be going through kitchen cupboards this morning and seeing what I can make with what I already have. This should help with getting money back on track.
Will also be starting on budget for august. Its just so nice to have my spreadsheets back!!!
A few bills came out of my bank account this morning. No more now until next week:) Luckily mine are scattered quite nicely over the whole month so easy to budget for.November NSD's - 70 -
Evening:)
Made a lovely spaghetti bolognaise for lunch with stuff from cupboards and fridge. Have tomorrows dinner planned already but will probably have to buy a couple of things from the shop, yoghurts and carrots, possibly bread.
Have made a start on my August budget and things look quite good!
Parcel cost me £1.65 to send off today, so pleased with that!
Might start thinking about listing some stuff on ebay in the next few weeks. I am planning to use any money made towards money neutral xmas.
Going to have a chilled out evening tonight. DS1 still out with mates and DS2 staying at a friends house so very quiet here. DS3 gone to bed so just me and DD. Will be watching a few programmes I have recorded this week and am going to try and have an early ish night.
Got plenty of washing dry today as the weather has been gorgeous! Mainly all coats and hoodies! Perfect day for that kind of washing!November NSD's - 70 -
Morning:)
A bit overcast here this morning! Still, if the rain stays off, I will be able to get up to speed with the washing!
Cant believe it is 4th August already! One full month and the kids will be back to school! I will need to go out in the next few weeks and do the school uniform shopping. Luckily a lot of the kids uniform still fits fine.
Have done some more adjusting with the August budget, looks pretty good actually.
Yesterday had housing assoc round to do some work in my bathroom, it looks fab now!
Im planning a root around in the freezer at some point today. Hoping to do some kind of inventory to use up a lot of stuff in there.
It wont be a NSD today but I will be keeping shopping to a minimum, I dont want to spend more than £5.
Still have plenty of food in so instead of a weekly shop, for the next few weeks I am planning on doing 'buy it as I need it' shops instead!
Right, better get a wash on now, which, as I am looking at the black clouds which have just started to appear, may have to go on the airers instead.November NSD's - 70 -
Hi JD ! Lovely to see you back. Have missed your diary !
Been 'buying as need' shops too lately with same aim of using up other stuff. Plus on hols next week so didn't want to get too much in. Allotment is going great but have got behind with housework so am 'flyladying' for the next few weeks to get up to scratch with it all.
I think the weather is supposed to clear up later today (I hope so, I've got loads of washing to do ! lol)
Hope you're all well xxx:jWeight loss to date 1st 11.5lb :j0 -
jtb:wave:
I hope the weather clears up too! I hate tons of airers all around the house!
I havent even thought about the ironing pile yet (I usually slack off in the hols when there is no uniform to iron:))
Glad the allotment is doing well xNovember NSD's - 70 -
Didnt go anywhere today. Sent DS2 to the shops to buy some carrots, so spent 59p.
Cooking Roast for dinner (cooking now) Older boys will be home later so they will have to reheat theirs (yuk but their choice:))
Will dig some ice cream out of freezer for pudding.
Spent most of today browsing and reading lots of posts on here, bit of housework and general tidying up!
Nice evening of TV to look forward to (Wire in the Blood yay!)November NSD's - 70
