Morning everyone:)
Have a busy day planned here. Off to Lidl first thing to stockpile on flours/eggs/sugars/cheese and UHT milk. Lidl is much cheaper for all these things than tescos, so will be buying enough to last me for hopefully a month:)
Pasta and Pesto for dinner this evening and a sandwich for me for lunch!
Ironing planned for sometime today, also blitzing the bathroom, ds3 had a major episode on sunday and emptied the following on to the hallway and bathroom floor:
3 bottles of bubblebath
3 bottles of shampoo
1 bottle of conditioner
2 bottles of hair serum
3 tubes toothpaste
 it took me hours to clean up but I need to give it all a proper going over again and find new homes for all the toiletries!! He just loves sensory stuff bless him, although I am upset at the waste and cost, I know he cant help it and sometimes the urge to do that sort of thing grips him (but he is forgiven because he is very cute:D)
A couple of walls also need to be repainted, but will tackle those next week when I have vowed to get my paintbrush out again!:D
Hope everyone has a great MS day!November NSD's - 70 -
Oh no Jamie! What a lot of work for you! I think you need some mega high shelves LOL!Wendy x0

Cat - you are right about that!
Bought a few cooking bits in town yesterday. A cast iron stock pot which I have been looking for for ages, 20cm £19.99! Also a salad bowl £7.49)
Posted my Evidence to Support for DLA as I have asked them to look into our claim again. We currently get higher rate care and lower rate mobility and I have asked them to consider higher rate mobility, I have to wait 11 weeks for their decision. Sent it recorded delivery...72p (I think).
Didnt get to lidl yestreday so will be going this morning, other than that, a busy day indoors again, dd's room could do with a complete blitz!!!
What has everyone else got planned for today?November NSD's - 70 -

Good luck waking them up! I litereally have to drag my DD out of bed and take away her duvet to get her to move!
Do you buy much from Lidl or just certain items? I have heard some peeps go to a supermarket for some bits, then Lidls after...I hate supermarket shopping at the best of times...Grrrrrrrr!:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0 -

donner - i use lidl and tesco. lidl are cheaper for eggs, all sugars, cheeses, oil , fruit and veg, cat food, biscuits and crisps. i buy other stuff from lidl which is same price as tesco but better quality...tinned toms, flours and jelly.
most other stuff I buy from tesco. I tend to do a large shop once a fortnight or so at lidl and once a week at tesco.
Jtb - thanks for the heads up about beans at the TP. Will check that out early next week and stock up if they have any left!!!:DNovember NSD's - 70 -
Thanks JD!
Might have to give them a go then!

Thought I better do a bit of an update:D
So, day 27!
Have faithfully kept track of every single penny in and out so far this month. Quite an eye opener!
Havent quite finished spending yet though. Have 2 direct debits due out in the next few days and will be spending in B&Q today. Also have to take ds1 trousers back to matalan for a refund, as they didnt fit. ended up buying him another pair in tesco yesterday which do fit and were cheaper too! Will need to adjust spreadsheets when refund is back in account.
House is still very well stocked with food. I have spent a huge amount this month but all has been at very good prices so should see a drop in feb and march.
I know I will have gone over my 4k budget for january, however I am not worried, current totals suggest I will be over by about £50.
Have also rejoined the flylady challenge as house has become a bit of a pit again. I find it helps me to focus, a bit like the 4k challenge does with tracking my spending:)
Still waiting to hear about DLA claim. We are already in reciept of higher rate care and lower rate mobility, however, I asked them to look at it again as I think my son is entitled to higher rate mobility....we shall see, I have been told it could be a possible 8 weeks before I hear any news.
Anyways, enough of my waffle.....how is everyone else doing? How have you all found January?......November NSD's - 70
