Spent 60p on parking yesterday, and that was the total of my spends in town:D Took a couple of bras that didnt fit back to the shop to swap for new ones, so no spend there:D

    Painting managed yesterday:

    - 2 coats on stairwell and down the stairs, needs another coat yet.
    - one wall in front room (2nd coat)

will try and complete front room 2nd coat today, wont get much else done as I have two meetings today:eek:

Am looking forward to having the kids at home for half term next week, there is also an INSET day on the Monday after, for 3 of my kids. Need to stock up on bread, milk, fruit, biscuits and crisps for next week so will have to do a Tesco shop as well as going to Lidl. Thursday is out as its IKEA day:D so will probably have to be split between today and tomorrow.

Have sold two books on Amazon in the last week so that money will be going in my xmas money neutral pot:D Its already looking quite healthy:)

    Better get on....lunchboxes to make!

Yesterday was a bit of a nightmare, went to tesco but the whole carpark was a lake and you couldnt get in. I drove to the next carpark about 5 mins away and walked in instead. It was still open, just only reachable by those on foot!

Got what I needed for the next few days and will probably pop back in on friday.

Finished 2nd coat in front room:D Pleased to have got that done!

DS2 parents evening last night and I was really happy with what his teacher had to say. All good there:)

    Aims for today.....

    - Start 2nd coat on hallway
    - 2nd coat kitchen
    - If time (and paint left) 3rd coat in front room.

Will need to pick up some more paint on friday. I wont be painting over half term. Instead I will be continuing to strip wallpaper in older boys room.

Budget is still looking pretty good. It will take a hammering tomorrow with my trip to IKEA, but it is all planned for.

Have some bits to list on ebay over the next week or so. Hoping to top up my xmas money neutral fund:)

  • Wow sounds seriously wet where you are Jamie!

My spending has gone a little crazy lately - I keep needing things that want paying for and have bought myself a few bits that tbh I have needed for ages. Plus last month was a very frugal month so I guess it balances out.

    well.........

The cashier said some of my items didnt scan but not to worry about it as Ikea were giving away loads of free stuff today, I double check that was ok and she just took payment and waved me through.

It was only when I got out of Ikea and checked my reciept that I realised she had put through £200 worth of stuff and I had only paid £55:D:eek:

SO I am well happy today as it means I got my bed for free!!!!!!!:D:D:D

    Anyway, very happy today:)

Wohooooooo ! Well done JD (cursing now cause I knew I shoulda gone today lol)

Seriously, that's great. Brilliant when you can get something for nothing !

Quick question, did they have a good selection of beds? Probably going to go on hubby's birthday in just over a week (might treat him to brekkie lol).
