Wow that's fantastic and good to know that after a year you've just forgotten all about it.
Stroppy you've just given me something else to strive for! I'm going to look at this as a competition with my oh. Instead of falling by the wayside if he does I am going to feel smug. I think he is quite competitive too and the fact that I've been so determined has helped him not to cave in either.0 -

my eating has now got out of control. have given myself until sunday and then i have to get it under control, 24 jaffa cakes wolfed in about 20 mins - oops. great to hear that everyone is doing so well. i still suffer cravings but know that they will become less and less. i now think my brighter looking skin is to do with giving up smoking and not just wishful thinking, how great is that.
well done everybody.
maccababe. Not massively in debt, but possibly heading there!0 -
Got home without buying any, yay!! Could feel the irritation setting in quite a lot - especially in queues - just did some deep breathing and remembered what was actually making me feel like this in the first place - nicotine.
Just chilling at the moment and trying to keep busy

I was in town today and I was looking at people (well women tbh) and guessing whether they smoked or didn't (they were of a certain age). All the ones with grey lined haggard faces had a fag on or a nasty loose cough.
I need to keep those images in my head because if I dont stay on the wagon that'll be me in 10 years.0 -

This is my worst nightmare!
When girls are young, you really can't tell. When they get older, it's soo easy to spot old 'fag ash lils', with or without a cig in their mouths. Deidre Barlow's voice from Corra is also a bit of a warning sign that I ned to quit. Id die if I sounded like that :-)I'll have some cheese please, bob.0 -

Hey, congratulations!
I'm just starting out (only on day 2:o) and can't wait to be where you are now.
It's a great boost to have ex-smokers coming on and reminding us it is humanly possible to stop smoking.:TI'll have some cheese please, bob.0 -

It certainly is, I have just come very close to ripping OHs head off for no reason except that he seems to be taking this stopping smoking in his stride whilst I am struggling, especially today. He is brilliant with me. My head has been filled with cigarette thoughts all day, I didn't particularly want a ciggie but just couldn't do anything but think about them.
This is really so hard but I am afraid if I don't stop this time I never will so I will hang on in there and get to the end somehow.
I can do it, I will do it.We don't stop playing because we grow old; We grow old because we stop playing.0
