Today it is now 1 week 12 hours since i had my last fag, i gave up using Champix, i found it quite easy, i didn't actually want to stop, but i did want to save money! I would not recommend the tablets 100% though as even though they did help me to stop it has been a living hell and i think that is what has pushed me on, i had nausea everytime i took a tablet, it made me actually sick a couple of times, i was able to push through it though, my sleep was really disturbed, drifting in and out of sleep rather than actual sleep, have been extremely short tempered with everyone around me.... eventually had enough of them on Tuesday which i think was day 14 of the tablets - felt like an absolute zombi and numb to everything that was going on around me, just wanted to go to sleep on wednesday when my partner came home from nightshift i was in tears telling him i couldn't go to work - i didn't know why i just knew i couldnt go like a mad paranoia i have never experienced i didn't take the morning tablet and i slept all day! felt a bit better on wednesday still not quite right but much better, have not taken anymore of the tablets since then as it really scared me!
On a happier note i am still a non smoker! i hope to never go back to it although tonight has seemed like a really long night and every so often it pops into my head to go for a fag to pass the time, i do also think i wonder what it would be like to just have one but no its too risky!
loving the extra money although i keep finding new ways to spend it!
Will drop in every so often to update and offer any support i can x
OMG that sounds horrible!
Keep going. Don't go back to that dark place!0 -

I've stopped thinking about smoking. I don't think I have been tempted to smoke once in the last week. Got on the scales a couple of days back and haven't gained any weight either. Feeling so much cash rich. I barely have to go to the cash point anymore. So it's nothing but positives for me.....
Thanks.
I'll be back Sunday when it has been a full calendar month :j
Yes this week has been fine for me to, it is over a month now but I have not wanted one at all. I think my lungs are still clearing though as have slight cough but more a feeling of having to clear my throat.
I was thinking about the money aspect of it this morning and agree with what you say, I have spent very little this week and still have notes in my purse, which would not be the case if I was smoking.
I'm starting to feel better now and getting the hair done tonight as a nice treat, does stopping smoking make you go more grey LOL, only joking.

Its great that you no longer think about smoking after only 4 weeks. Gives hope to the rest of us. I am doing better than I expected but do fancy a ciggie at times though on patches. Solved this problem by buying nic gum just chewing on half until the feeling passes. This only happens every now and then and as the gum is very mild it does not appear to clash with the patches. I really do not want to get hooked on the gum.

Well done IWRS, Sexy Legs and Irish! :T
All 3 of you are doing so very, very well and show such great determination to win your battle with the fags so very quickly! Great going all, keep as you are now and you'll get to where you want to be! Every minute, hour and day you stay free is a terrific achievement and you all deserve such praise!!! :T:T:T
Well done girls, and everyone else too!!! :T We're all rooting for you, bear that in mind, always!
