Gotta do some chores now, need motivation, it's wet and grey outside!

Great news ggg, and I'll bet you feel so good at having a whole week behind you!!! :TWhether it's an hour, day, week or a month if you're anything like the rest of us then it's elating to have got there....by yourself!!! Your chest and entire respiratory system are benefiting so much with every bit of rubbish you expectorate (or cough/spit out :(_pale_), you'll soon be feeling wonderfully clean - inside and out! Keep it up ggg, you are doing marvellously! All the best to you and to everyone!

  • Well its six months today since I gave up by using the Allen Carr audiobook.

I can honestly say it has been easy - ok a few doubts in the first few days - but my genuine regrets were why I didn't do it earlier.

I now do a lot more exercise - probably because I'm buzzing with energy - but find it really enjoyable. Got on a bike for the first time in years and now do lots of cycling.

I hope this encourages others - yes there were a few doubts but far outweighed by the positives - just a little time and exercise and you'll wonder why you ever smoked.

So be positive - remember there's loads of support here - and get out of the vicious circle.:D

Many congratulations on 6 great months cig-free allthatmularky!!!:T:T:T What great success and I'm so pleased you came back to tell us all as it's such incentive to all those still going through it all. We need all those who've got through it to spur others on, it really gives them all such a boost and lets them know that it CAN be done! It was wonderful to read about how your energy levels have been raised and how great you feel. Well done on your terrific achievement, you're a star!

There you go folks, just to let you all know that it really is possible and so worth the hard work!!! Keep it up and stay strong!

    Fantastic :T:T:T:T
  • .....well I'm still going.....

I can't quite believe it has been 3 weeks but it has. Been through a lot of situations this week were I could have had a ciggarette but didn't. So pat on the back to me for resisting temptation when it was in front of me!

    Next goal - 4 weeks:D

    Great news :T

It's great to hear your success story and how it's made you feel so much better. I have read the Allen Carr book myself (many times unfortunately :o). I also have the audio CD but I need to get some quiet time to listen to the whole thing.

Excellent news IWRS!! :T It's getting through such times that lets us know just how strong we really are, and that the battle really CAN be won!!! So keep on as you're doing....getting through each day - but determined to get to the next goal we set ourselves. That pat on the back is so well deserved. Stay focused and strong as you're doing just great!!!

Hi ggg! Try and keep hold of all the feelings that allthatmularky has after such hard work....and how IWRS feels at having achieved 3 weeks already! THAT is exactly how you too will feel if you stay strong and focused and keep telling yourself you've really had more than enough of the misery that those nasty sticks brings. You CAN do it, you know you can. Find the time and the peace to listen to that CD again, you owe it to yourself as thus IS a battle you CAN win!!! You're getting close to that 2nd week now...well done!!! :T

Give it your best everyone, and remember that every night you go to bed is another day of the battle won - and it's YOU that's got through it!!!!:T:j
