You are all very inspirational and well done to you :T

Personally, I am going to try hard in March to only drink at weekends and not at all Mon - Thurs - that's what I want to achieve, but am finding it so hard
Mine is pure habit - I start cooking the evening meal and pour my first glass of wine. It's pure habit - I don't 'need' it anymore as a crutch [I used to during a very stressful time] and only feel I 'need' it when I start to cook, and then have another glass with the meal I have cut down which is great, but going without a couple of glasses of wine every evening is harder than I ever thought it would be!!!
Well done to those of you who are managing it :T :T

    Hi Winebox

Yes, funny how the 'good' habits arent part of my life too, hehe! If I have time to drink for an hour each day, I have time to get my butt to the gym for an hour each day! (not that I do drink every day, but you see what I mean!).

Please put me down as an AF March, so however many days are in the month. This month I am going to be focusing on the gym & my health, not making a tit of myself whilst under the influence and literally peeing my money down the drain.:D

I LOVE stationary too, always used to look forward to going back to school in Sep and going stationary shopping. Dont get me started on paperchase ;) . Another shop I found while travelling was 'kikki k' - not sure if it has made it over here yet.

    Have a good day xx

Keep starting to post then someone walks in and I have to shut it down quickly and lose the lot!

Miss P, I'm sorry to hear you're feeling carp, I hope you start to feel better soon :)

NTC, there is no way I'm giving up choklit tomorrow, that's my crutch at the moment what with giving up the booze!! Instead of giving up I'm going to revel in it! Don't be down with your total so far this month, if you stay AF for the rest of Feb you will have done over half a month! Please would you stick me down next month for.....wait for it....31/31 please :D

Lurks, can't wait for my pancakes tonight! I am definately going down the traditional sugar and lemon route, though everyone else will be sticking all manner of stuff on theirs, ranging from fruit to ice cream and 100's & 1000's!

FUAS, I hope your toe is okay, do you have a walk in centre (no pun intended :undecided) down your way, or maybe go to A&E? Your savoury pancakes sound amazing, never eaten them savoury before.

MP, how long did it take for your sleep patterns to get back to normal. Another thing I meant to ask you (if you don't mind and if you do ignore...), what were your drinking patterns like, were you an everyday drinker or just every know and again?

BHB, the G&T thing is a good idea, when I was doing the reduction thing my counsellor said to change brands or drinks. Your dinner sounded amazing by the way, where do you live, I'm coming to tea!! Oh yeah, and country boy confused about the whips......yeah right

WB, didn't even notice you'd taken your name off lol!!

While I was typing my mammoth post I missed you posting Fluffybishop (totally love the name! Though shall have to shorten it to FB if you don't mind?), welcome to the thread and good luck for March. I think most of us have just got into the habit of drinking, particularly associating it with something like cooking dinner etc... Stick with us and we'll try and break the habit together! x

Edited to add: just noticed your weight loss in your sig, fantastic work, well done :T :T :T :T :T

Good luck Ms London, dunno if I'll try a new habit of the gym but maybe try and get addicted to fruit smoothies or summat :D

Right I'm back from A+E after the Drs advised going. Toe may be broken or not but advise the same either way, just rest/elevate/ice pack.

Talk about the New Moon affecting me yesterday with 3 major disasters happening  good job I didn't have a drink! Otherwise it would have been much worse and probably done something else! I did have a little longing look at the half empty bottle in the afternoon.

Right I'm about to polish off my easter egg early on a choccie binge :o before I give it up until Mid June at the end of my next 100 day challenge (that's why I'm eating my eggs early :D ) Already eaten the left overs of one and a creme egg (they were the £1 in Mr S on offer so I've had a few :o )

WB good luck hun - sorry you feel like this. Like other's have said, try for one day and take it from there.

Well done to Miss P, HappyShopper and Maman on the happy smiley jumpers! I'm looking forward to getting mine tomorrow!!!! :D
