Been to the pub with my fellow rugby coaches to plan the remainder of the season so not AF today but a sensible amount
Off to bed now. I think the roads have improved unless we get more snow
Feeling knackered after building that iglooProbably a good replacement for the gym session I had hoped for at lunch time.
Sea, I can't explain how jealous I am that you have choklit raisins. I absolutely love :kisses: them! Hope you enjoyed them anyway
Sleep well people
Bon nuit

Hi all- graham c had to respond to your post, although I've been thinking about this for a while. I know you have successfully beaten this horrendous addiction, yep I know AA might have helped, you sound quite succesful- I'm so pleased you have found something that helps you overcome your alcoholism. BUT, sometimes I find your thoughts a bit pious, and a bit black and white...and well, reactionary when we are all trying to be supportive. I know what you are saying is essentially right, but you are way down the road o f recovery , and many people on here are just starting out - GC I like your advice, I know its right (mostly), but being very black/white and pious doesn't help. Not a critisism just an observation.
Good luck to everyone tonight- come on guys.0 -
4AF for me please, winebox. I found it a little bit easier tonight once I'd given myself a good talking to at 6pm.
I have a theory that maybe on top of missing the wine I might also be suffering from a bit of SAD. Alongside AF challenge I also have another one running or rather walking. I have been trying to get out for a walk every day for at least half an hour. I was doing fine until I had a bit of a bad back last week and then came the snow. By yesterday I think I had cabin fever! I was very down and then craving for wine was worse than ever. Today I had a good walk and some fresh air and feel much better for it.
Very quiet on here tonight but some good posts. Thanks eselt, for yours. GC, I'm sure you mean to be helpful but when I read your posts it comes across as:- if you're on this thread you must have a problem with drink
- if you have a problem with drink then you must be an alcoholic
- if you don't admit to being an alcoholic then stop posting on this thread

just wanted to send my sincere best wishes to all of you. I have several relatives who have suffered alcohol dependence and I have seen the difficulties that can occur.

Hi WB and you all
5/5 for me so far - I am 'allowed' to drink at weekends, but hoping I won't so will see what happens.
E - read your post before bed hit alot of chords - a thoughtful post - xx
Maman - interesting idea - you might have something there........I know one of my triggers is being on my definately the winter, also being on own, with my family in a place where I don't really know anyone -
Sorry to read and run - snow days - arghghghghghgh - I am so behind from yesterday
Well done those who didn't over indulge too much when out..............the rest of us Hang in there - somehow or other we will get thereTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Thanks Eselt and maman totally agree and said far better than I would :T :T3/5
I went to bed early last night but that was because I was feeling very sorry for myself with my coldIts a lot better this morning though so I dont think I will be contagious as I post this
I am so lucky I know not to suffer any of the sleep problems some of you do. Maman I used to do the walk a day thing and it used to do me the world of good, thanks for the reminder I will restart that.
Winebox, just watching the news and it looks like you will be on a day off again today:j :j EnjoyIts like a summers day here today, blue sky and not a snowflake in sight so no igloos for me. (RC wish I'd seen that it sounds ace!)
Sea chocklit raisins mmmmm must go and find some of them today.
I bought a massive jar of jelly belly beans yesterday:eek: they were on offer at costco so I justified them as cheaper than a box of wine. No chance of any weight loss this week then:rolleyes:
Have a good day all and stay safe and warm29th Feb Quit Day :j0 -
morning all,
Hope you are all well xx
well I had an AF day yesterday but really because I felt so rubbish! I still feel awful today. I ate so much junk food to get me through the hangover I feel nasty and bloated today. I crave fruit and vegetables!
So, put me down for 4/5
This weekend I think I am going to have 0 AF days.... we are going to visit the in laws. However, although I will have alcohol it will be limited to a glass of wine at dinner. I think if I didn't drink my MIL would get her knitting needles out thinking there was a grandbrat on the way!Saving for an early retirement!0 -

This should be an incentive not to drink. :T
