Hi budget babe - I know that "whether I enjoy it or not" syndrome......we must be mad. Good idea to umplug the phone (not that I'll need to now of course, ahem!), I used to handle calls pretty well, nobody guesed, 'til i gave it away that I had no memory of it...

    GOOD LUCK!

god how many times have I done that:eek:  my memory is shot to bits when I am out of it and I hate that vague memory of a long phone call with someone who was sober and not been able to remember what you said.

budget babe Hello Dolly was one of my lows I admit (hang on I was sober:rotfl: )

Thanks for the encouragement x I've spoken to him about how I feel, which for some reason I wouldn't normally do (I hate arguments). I normally just keep quiet (why do I do that) I get angry inside, let it build up, drink and then tell him he upset me! I feel tons better now I've spoken to him.

Shame I don't live closer to you, in my dream I saved the day at the 11th hour! (delusions of heroism here....can't remember what actually happened now, sorry).

Am going to have to go now, quite a bit still to do before setting off to OH's. My sister rang & wants to get together tomorrow lunchtime which is not a particularly joyful propect (we're not close; she's lived abroad for more than 35 years, & it means a long drive) but keeps me off the sherbets.

Soooo, to all you total abstainers, the very best of luck for the weekend. To the cutter-downers, hope you stick to your targets too.

My sig will be unchanged as of Monday morning, but like I said am determined not to go bonkers just cos by my rules I'm "allowed" to drink in company; don't want a Monday hangover. Going to make a note each time I pour a glass & not keep topping up before it's empty (I always do that! not sure why). I feel quite nervous! in case after 1 or 2...you know how it goes. Anything under 40 units  for the weekend is a bonus.

    Keep that wagon rollin'!

    xx
