well done to you too Jo. hope you get through today alright - your "problem" day? You'll be AF tomorrow though!!
I dreamt about you last night (no offence to you & BHB but this is a worrying trend) you were campaigning to save your local swimming pool (????!!).

I've got next 2 nights at OH's so not AF but am going to try very VERY hard not to neck my usual two bottles per night...today am going to go up there 3 hours or so later than usual.

I know I shouldn't wish illness on myself but this sinus infection definitely helps me to be AF cos I feel so run down...still want to get better mind!

Hope everyone OK today & welldone all of yous!!!!!!!! xxx

edit - thanks BHB you too

    Hi Guys,

Just wanted to say how very pleased I am to have joined this thread. My situation is probably like alot of others, I tend to drink justifying it as: I need to relax, what harm does it do? I am hurting no one.

But of course you hurt yourself and others too. I find that I drink now whether I enjoy it or not, it is like some little switch goes on in my head and I can't stop. I used to have just one bottle of wine but now find myself on the
second bottle now. I tend to unplug the phone if I am drinking as I don't want people to know, (if that makes sense).

I guess this is the first step to admiting its become a problem, I have read and been touched by many of your posts, I can only wish everyone luck in this journey, I suppose we will have good days and bad days? We need to be kind to ourselves and everyone else if its a bad day we have had, to put it behind us and start afresh.

I have taken Ed_Zep's idea of marking a calendar with crosses and I am feeling quite proud of my 2 at the moment, lets hope I can fill in more as the month progresses? Thankyou. Oh and so well done on your fantastic achievement. :T

Also Needs to Change well done for yesterday, you can do it though; Hello Dolly?:rotfl:

To bhb keep positive I know its hard but you can do it along Mrs bhb. Hey whats a frying pan on your head in the scheme of things?:rotfl:

And lastly to Lurkio can you please put me down for 31/31 today is afd 3, here's hoping.

Sorry for long post just thought I needed to explain a little.:A

    Hugs to you all xxxxxx

Stay on here miamoo - my OH & his hormonal crises are the most common reason for me giving in....don't let him get to you, you're bothering cos you want to do it for YOU...good luck (plus if you have lots to drink it'll prob fuel a silly row)

Miamoo, you are bothering because you want to improve your life and feel better about yourself. If you drink tonight then you will feel bad with yourself tomorrow and if your OH is in a bad mood again it will all spiral out of control. Take control of the situation today, don't drink and know that whatever happens you will be unhungovered tomorrow and you will already know that you will be feeling proud and can big yourself up all day long, regardless what mood he's in!! :D

Hi budget babe - I know that "whether I enjoy it or not" syndrome......we must be mad. Good idea to umplug the phone (not that I'll need to now of course, ahem!), I used to handle calls pretty well, nobody guesed, 'til i gave it away that I had no memory of it...

    GOOD LUCK!

Thankyou winebox, good luck to you too
:A I know what you mean about the memory thing, I loved the Xfactor but then beat myself up on the Sunday morning when I couldn't remember who had gone? But hopefully thats all in the past?

I didn't sleep very well last night, this giving up alcohol is very wearing forever on my mind. I try to go by hours feeling good when another hour has past :rotfl:

So take care and thankyou :rotfl:xxxxx
