£3.22 to the smelly egg today. I have loved the snow (now rain and wind) but its time for some sun now. Everyone, including me, seem so down in the dumps. I know this PAD boosts me up at times to know I am making a difference but sometimes its a daily reminder of my situation and how long the battle will be. I have decided I will make my payment a day for sat and sun on Friday and then will not log onto the MSE site for a whole weekend. I wont stop being sensible and careful with my money as that will defeat the object but am going to try and have a weekend without obsessing about totals, payment free dates etc. Hope fully this may help lift my mood0

Private and Confidential, I think sometimes it's more important to have a lovely weekend with your family. If you think about it, £90.00 isn't a huge amount, you could have easily spent that on one nght out before, I'm sre! [I know I could have!!! I went out for a drink with a friend on Friday and ended up buying a round - cost over £20.00. I wouldn't have thought twice about that spend before but nearly had to order another large one to get over the shock!!] Maybe you are in a similar 'head space' to me - we really want to clear our debts and we are al working so hard to do that. So we tink we have to live on the equivalent of bread and water and never to anything nice for ourselves. Certainly that was my idea before I joined this thread. What as really encouraged me is seeing everyone really trying so hard yet still enjoying nights out, ordering a take away once in a while, going away for the weekend - why not? We already punish ourselves enough about how we got into a mess, there is no point being miserable and beating up on ourselves 24/7. You have a lovely weekend to boost you through the week, and some lovely time with your family. That's worth a lot more than £90.00!!
Still thinking about whether to apply for senior post at work. I think I prbably will - as my DD said 'what's the worst that can happen?' If I don't get it I won't ose my current job and have overtime starting in 2 weeks, so that will help. If I do get it - just let's say the champagne will be on me!!
Chin up everyone, good PADs today. The weather might be grim but this thread always cheers me up!0 -

I agree with mmy sometimes we push ourselves too hard we have acknowledged our debts and are dealing with them but we still have to have a life and if takes a little longer to be debt free so be it we will be debt free but we musn't sacrifice everything as we never know what life has in store for us. I am speaking from experience my darling sis has just been diagnosed with breast cancer, it puts debt into perspective it is a problem but its not the biggest problem we could have.
