  • Good morning everyone! Hope you're all having a good start to the week. I haven't been on over the weekend - working nights at my second job, and when I got home yesterday morning, I went to bed and slept for 24 hours!! I've been soo tired recently, so saw the doctor a couple of weeks ago. She took some blood, and when I phoned up was told that my iron levels were fine, but that there was one result which was not in normal range, so saw my doctor again this morning. Turns out there is enough iron in my body, but it's not being used properly by my body, so the amount of iron in my blood is low. I have a genetic disorder which is a bit strange - I'm deficient in the chemical that puts iron into another compound to make haem, so it's probably the reason that this has happened. Any way, I'm glad there's an explanation for how I'm feeling, and that hopefully a month of iron will sort it out. It'll be good to have the energy to do more than just sleep; my laundry is piling up!

My PAD today (which also covers the weekend payments) is £3.

    Have a good day!

Oh I know exactly how you feel  They did it to me a couple of years ago just under £2000!!!! Am still paying it back now - even tho I gave them all my details like they asked, rang them when I got a payrise etc, they made the mistake and yet I have to pay for it!!!!! They should be shot, surely if it's their mistake its their loss??

thats my point if i gave them the right details it is surely their mistake. they have agreed for me to pay back £50 a month but if i dont keep up the payments then they will have to take legal action and apparently i will have to pay for their legal costs!!!! i dont even claim ctc anymore, even though we are entilted to it, as i cant be bothered with the rubbish that comes with it!

Don't get me started on child tax credits...they're USELESS!!!! Sorry to hear you've fallen foul of them though no fault of your own.

My PAD is £10.00. I'm going to try and save a tenner a day. We'll see! xx

  • I was a naughty boy over the weekend and had to spend on my HSBC CC.

We went out as a family for a trip and had no available money so had to spend on the CC.

Not 100% sure how much I spent, but it was a lot....(maybe £90). Once it all hits the card I'll post back to show how much it was. I'm so annoyed with myself, but we had a really lovely weekend.

Anyway, back on the straight and narrow now, consider it a minor blip.

I hate being skint, and sometimes you just can't ever see a way out of it. I think I'm going to have a massive TAX bill for 2008/2009 which I haven't saved for so that'll be a minimum of £2000 to find.

AAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH -

Todays PAD = £2.65 (for what it's worth)

I can join the "Tax credits" debate. We've been paying back £100 a month for the last year, last payment is March.
