Hi all
Just another £1.00 for me today
- being extra careful this month - as i'm hoping to pay of 4 of the 6 payday chqs at £100 each I have going out this month (I know!! and believe me will never be in that situation again EVER!).
MUMZYOF2 I was using one of those banking machines in HSBC where you can look at your accounts / direct debit etc and pay bills. You have to request your card back and if you dont the machine swallows it! I didnt realise f a couple of hours and couldnt get back the same day to claim it - so had to cancel and re-issue, bit of a pain but least I cant spend any money!
I wisk I could blame my age but i've always been like this!

Morning all :hello:
Well it's payday tomorrow :j :j and I still have money left in my accounthave to say I haven't gone over my OD for weeks now - unheard of a few months ago! DS's car is going to cost approx £500 _pale_ he needs new suspension on the front and new wishbone ? you learn something new everyday eh?? Had never heard of a wishone before :rotfl: also cos he has alloys and he damaged 2 front one's apparently he has to buy 4 new! is that right or is the garage taking the mickey?!?! Luckily for DS he doesn't take after his mother and is good with money - he obviously listened to me about always having savings for a rainy day - pity I couldn't follow my own advice eh??
Now the snow has gone it's a nightmare taking dogs out as it's all muddy and Amber just loves the mud!!!!!!!!! she especially loves giving me sloppy kisses when she's dripping with mud and god knows what else yuck!!
Well done clarrisa d on the weight loss :T and thanks to payback for totals :T

Well done, Greenbynature - you have money in your bank account! That's great - that's what I am hoping for too in the not-too-distant future! Bad luck about your son's car, but at least you don't have to pay for it, which is a blessing. I do know what you mean about the mud, our puppy went completely hysterical when I let him out in the snow as he had never seen it before. However he is a small breed and after racing around in it almost doubled his body mass in snow. Guess it will be that in mud when I take him out after work!
Thanks to all for your support. My daughter thinks I am obsessing about money and 'driving myself mad' [and her too, OBVIOUSLY]. She is really trying to reduce her spending which is a great help, but I still get a bit shakey when she says 'Oh, BTW I've bought a dress off Ebay through your account'. Bless her, it is from Ebay not from Oxford Street and it is much much cheaper. But you know that sinking feeling you get of 'I haven't planned to spend that money' - well, that was me yesterday. However, she also says that saving a pound here and two pounds there is part of my driving myself mad - but I know from all the great people on this thread that this is a real way to make a difference, and if it means I am obsessed - well, I'm in good company, I think! Thanks to everyone for your support in my down moment. Glad to hear I am not alone - or, as my mother used to say, 'misery loves company'!!
Hope you all have a good Wednesday - going out for work lunch paid for by my boss, so plan to eat shedloads of food in a restaurant AT NO COST TO ME!!!!0 -

Hi all.
Didn't manage to throw in any more PADs yesterday but had a productive evening of potential money-spinning...
1. Set up freebie scratchies
2. Signed up for my first mystery shop !! (Ha ha - I think this should be fun)
3. Got a load of CD's and DVD's onto Music Magpie - I'm moving house at the end of the month (new rental which is LOADS cheaper as I will be sharing again) and there is no way I will fit all of my stuff into the new room.
...all ideas from you guys and the MSE site so thanks! :T
