Quick question, whats a good needle size to use for the IS hats? The pattern on the website doesn't say and I'm only a novice!

Hi ShelBell and welcome to you! Use either 3.5mm or 4mm needles. I use 4mm (old size 8) because my tension is a little on the tight side. The wool should be double knitting wool.

Shez - teds are finally wrapped up, with two buntings, and waiting for their trip to the Post Office later this morning. They should be back home soon!

Thanks for everyone's updates - you've all been busy! I shall get stuck into making some more things now. I have some trauma toys to send to Loving Hands, along with a couple of hats but I shall wait until I've done another toy - maybe a lamb, next.

I know there's been loads of snow around - not here at all, just a very hard frost and rain, so I hope everyone who is affected is coping well. I shall be very glad when this horrid winter is finally over.

PLEASE NOTE: Thanks to everyone for such a good response to Chalky's appeal for the orphanage in Spain. Her SIL has arrived with all our items, and they have been delivered to the orphanage. Chalky has posted some great photos on page 27 of this thread. I think we will have made a big difference to a baby who arrived there with nothing; doesn't it make you feel good?!

LATEST UPDATE: Don't forget to let me know if I get these figures wrong - as some of you know, it's not difficult for me to make a complete hash of it!
