Hi all. Tooties - I hope you feel better now. You've certainly kept busy, haven't you? Thanks for your great totals, and for your congratulations!

Itsloopylisa - thanks for that link. I shall have a good look at the site.

Shaz - yes, you are the one responsible for increasing the hedgehog population of the UK! It's definitely the pattern of the year so far! I also tend to have more than one thing on the go - I don't know if that's a good thing or not. My hands get painful with tendonitis so I find if I alternate between knitting and crochet, it helps because I'm changing how I use my hands. Plus, I sometimes can't wait to start a new pattern, even if I'm halfway through something else. In my head, I have about a thousand projects ahead of me - I won't live long enough to complete them all!

Mrs Moneypenny - that made me laugh, I'm sorry! I could imagine your DH being felled by a mountain of knitting! Like you, I've knitting, wool and patterns everywhere - I try and squash it all up on the floor at my end of the sofa, but it creeps up onto the arms and spills over. My DH pretends surprise at how big the sofa is when I've had a clear up! I've bought a lovely posh project file so that I can make a list of what I'm knitting and for whom, but I still end up with scribbled on bits of paper everywhere. I try so hard to keep in organised but I suppose it's the creative side of us that ends up with stuff everywhere. And now, with a new grandchild on the way, I've loads more things to knit!

I'll update tomorrow morning with the latest totals.

Shez - you'll be pleased to know that I released a flock of chicks this morning; they should reach you tomorrow, hopefully! All the chicks you sent are in there, but I forgot the buntings I made. The Teds will be on their way on Monday, probably, so I'll send the buntings then.

Well, I've been to the wool shop - again! I only went on Tuesday! I wanted some new white wool to knit for the new baby when he/she arrives. The shop is getting so busy nowadays. It's a good sign that more and more people are knitting and also that, hopefully, it won't fall victim to the recession. The shop does picture-framing, sewing stuff, fabric, and net curtains, too, so it's a really useful old-fashioned kind of haberdashery -the sort that's getting hard to find. I even had to wait in a queue this morning; there were five people in front of me. I've never seen it like that.

Well, I'd better go and have some lunch.
