Jean - you made me :rotfl:at the thought of those calves leaping over the fence. Sounds like you have been really busy, we had a thunderstorm last Saturday evening when we were down in Poole, but nothing like yours over there. Weather seems to be settling down a bit now (says she hopefully with her fingers crossed);)

Elaine - I hope he is a little easier this morning, at least he will be monitored in there. Hope you managed to get some sleep. I am sending lots of :grouphug: your way x

Kathy - just had a look at your blanket love the colours you've used, could'nt see the "mistakes" at all ;) Must get round to taking a pic of mine. BTW hows your Mum hope she's settled into her new place and got all comfy and cosy. I will post my totals either later tonight or tomorrow, theres not much as I have been rushing about doing other things, hope to have a good knit Sunday night when all should be quiet and peaceful ...maybe :rolleyes2

I finished a couple of things off last night then did some more on my 2nd ripple blanket, I find it really relaxing, so much so I dropped off....only for a bit mind..... then I woke up and oh had made me a coffee with a little added extra, Brandy would you believe, dont know what gave him the idea but it was lovely, might have another one tonight ;)

Well better go get sorted, we are out for most of the day at the 2 Mums then to see a friend who's just come back from a few days in Bruges.

    Have good days all

K2TOG - Well done for the offer uptake, any time.
PIPPAS-They looked so funny - more like deer than calves - I didn't think they could jump - proved wrong again - and when their wee noses touched the electric fence well they scooted all over the park.
PSSO- Elaine fingers crossed and saying a wee prayer for your DH - to have a quick op and a speedy recovery.
Off to an exposition today, followed by a choral concert this evening so I really do need to get a wriggle on . SIL and partner due early next week for a fortnight and the place is a right state, so I won't get much done in the barn (HA HA) or for that matter I don't suppose for one minute I will get much knitting or sewing done - but you never know.
Those two for one offers are STILL on with the cuddles so get them while you can

    Morning all
Hope you and DH had a restful night Elaine.
Shez, I didn't realise Aaron had any siblings. I can't believe the knitting you manage to get done with littlies around! I couldn't see your tattoo either but maybe because I'm not on facebook.
I've just had an image of Roamin and Mioliere sitting at opposite ends of a very very very long field with calves jumping about in :rotfl:
I probably won't bother to update this week as between the SANDS blanket and general life I haven't managed to get much done. I have finished the main part of the SANDS blanket and am now on the border but I do need to concentrate a bit for that but so far, so good.
Now a question and I hope I can explain it so it makes sense - I'm just starting something in 3x3 rib and the change between k to p (or maybe p to k - can't remember and I've ripped it back now which isn't easy with blur) is really loose and loopy looking. This happens to me a bit with normal DK but seems to get hidden a bit when the rib pulls itself in, but it seems really bad with this fluffy wool - is this normal or am I doing something really wrong? I think in general I am a loose knitter possibly hopeloose.....:rotfl:

Shelley - that is lovely but looks so sore - it makes my toes curl. you are very brave, and rather remarkable because of what you do - i think that you are a star.

Maytaurus - haven't seen you around for a while, hope that you and yours are all okay - we miss you.

hope that everyone else is okay, and enjoying what they can of the weekend.

i have now come to the conclusion that those people at kemps are not my friends anymore as they keep tempting me with more and more stuff on special. i have spent enough money with them today and they have just sent me a new e-mail saying that they have even more temptations on offer. its all so hard.

oh well, i had better go and drown my sorrows with some coffee and crochet, i am going to try a new shell pattern with 5 dc into one stitch - its on youtube, so i should pick it up within the 7 minutes the demo takes.

    have a wonderful afternoon all.

PSSO - Hugs for you and DH x x

Well I disappeared into a black hole this morning..........Hobbycraft :rotfl::rotfl: I realised when I came out that I had been in there for over an hour  There were so many lovely soft wools, and pretty colours. I bought a crochet hook and they had a "how to" leaflet on it so will read through that and Maytaurus fab info and give it a go.

    Have a lovely weekend all x x

Hi everyone. A bit late for me on here. I've been food shopping and then we found a sort of charity shop here and have had a good look round that - found some lovely bargains in furniture, but didn't buy anything. They had some boxes of wool so I've treated myself to a few different colours. The wool out here is so expensive from the 'new' shops!

Well, we've had a lazy lunch and then a doze, and we've pottered about in the garden, but it's too hot to be out there now.

Elaine - I've been thinking about you and your DH. Lots of (((hugs))) to you both.

    Shez - I still think you're brave!

I've been wondering about Maytaurus - I do hope she is OK. Maytaurus - where are you?

Jean - aren't new calves so cute? 'Ours' are all various shades of ginger and really gorgeous. They come right up to the edge of our boundary and look at us with their huge brown eyes, which are fringed by eyelashes to dye for!

dPixie - I daren't even look at Kemps! I emailed them before I left the UK to ask if they would ship to France, and they said they would, but to keep the parcels below 2kg to save on postage. Any heavier, and it gets much more costly. The trouble is, I know I would order 2kg! I'm determined to use up what I have here, before ordering more.

Pip's Mum - good luck with the crochet. I found it easy to learn, but you have to be patient until it just clicks into place! I love it because it grows so fast, plus it's easier to unpick if you make a mistake!

Anyway, I've just had a cuppa made for me so I'll go and drink it out in the sun. Hope you are all having good weather today.

Annie's Attic free pattern today http://www.anniesattic.com/free_pattern_day/index.html

I thought the crochet motifs were nice and could be used for other things, too.
