Morning all and a very welcome back Kathy. I can only imagine your struggles, mine have not been anywhere near as bad ... yet. Well done on getting it all sorted and surviving without hot water - i remember what it was like - COLD!

Its a beautiful day here in london, so i plan to do some tidying up and then spend some time in the garden and leave the knitting till the sun goes down.

    Have a wonderful day all.

Have to go into town today so will do that now and hopefully will miss getting soaked.

Morning all - its a lovely day again and i am feeling rather virtuous as i have been to the gym and done without breakfast!

i am going to treat myself to a video and some knitting this afternoon - i think that might be fun.

does anyone else get the square circle news letters. i got one yesterday, and it had me in tears - having lived in south africa for many years, i know what the poverty is like, but you never see/come into contact with the AIDS fallout. i felt so guilty having just had a good lunch and sitting nice and warm in my lovely house. we really dont know how lucky we are most of the time. as a result of that i am now concentrating on squares - i have decided that i will knit the equivalent of 4 blankets (160 large squares) and then move on to knitting jumpers for some of the kids. (Shelley, i will still be knitting buntings and aaron squares for you too.) However, i am very much a "cast on, cast off, plain and purl" kinda girl - no fancy stuff for me. So ... does anyone have a really easy pattern for a jumper or cardigan - with sleeves (as the johannesburg winters are bitter) that i can knit without too much help?

Thanks for that and looking forward to completing my next ... 110, 8" squares.

Have a lovely day and hugs to all.
