Beautiful sunshine here....only a wee bit of knitting done so far today, however hoping to get some done as sir Alan fires someone later!

Shezmit - did the parcel arrive? DHL tracker says it's been delivered??

Re sleeping bag - I've done the small one, and believe me it's teeny, even smaller than the buntings? Is this right I ask myself? Didn't have any particular problems with the pattern once I'd read it, but I don't think it's all that clear - might just be me!

I think I am all boobed out for the moment, so going to do small cardis and tops for a bit - use some more of this non-decreasing stash up!

Am off to Scotland for the weekend, so have all the packing to do tomorrow, but will make sure that I have my knitting tidy with me to keep me quiet in the evenings. Will be spending Saturday and Sunday watchin g rugby games....don't think they'll let me take needles in!

    Dawn xx

hi all - i'm back. no knitting done in france, too much other stuff to do.

i have spent all afternoon catching up, so, happy birthday to chalky, welcome to all newbies, and hello and well done to all those who have been working so hard over the last ?10? days - cant remember how long i have been away.

bad news is that france telecom have lived up to their reputation, they didn't show, even though we had a time booked, they made some excuse, it was very lame! our painter told me that i should have been warned - if you have an appointment with FT lined up, expect them at least two days later!!!! i was very annoyed at best, expecially considering that the only other means of communication is my very expensive mobile phone. oh well thats something else for me to set up for my next trip in two weeks time. the other bad news is that as our village is so small (6 houses) that at the moment, broadband is a non-starter, i am going to have to look at other ways of using the internet - i dont even remember what dial-up was, i used it so long ago.

anyway, the weather was very rubbish (so maytaurus, your sunshine didn't beam across, i am afraid) we had loads of rain (and leaks), but, there is loads of room for improvement there, so thats a good thing.

shelley, glad that the buntings and squares reached you - and i do enjoy making them - i have set myself a target of 100 buntings before i move onto something else - so ... get yourself ready for more, cause thats what i am going to be doing for the next two weeks.

lovely to be back, and missed you all....

Welcome back dpixie. Sounds like you are having a similar experience to kathy - but hopefully it won't go on for so long!

    Sleeping sacks/bag things.
    I'm trying this one
    http://debbiespreemiepatterns.wordpress.com/2008/11/25/sleeper-sack-crochet-version/
now which is crochet and looks a better structure so far EXCEPT it says to carry on until the body is about 12" long from the neck. This seems very long to me in relation to the rest of it. Will it be OK because the bottom is gathered so won't actually be as long as it initially seems?
Am using that confused emoticon far too blimmin much lately!
