Welcome back dpixie. Sounds like you are having a similar experience to kathy - but hopefully it won't go on for so long!
Sleeping sacks/bag things.
I'm trying this one
http://debbiespreemiepatterns.wordpress.com/2008/11/25/sleeper-sack-crochet-version/
now which is crochet and looks a better structure so far EXCEPT it says to carry on until the body is about 12" long from the neck. This seems very long to me in relation to the rest of it. Will it be OK because the bottom is gathered so won't actually be as long as it initially seems?
Am using that confused emoticon far too blimmin much lately!
K2tog, I've been doing crochet buntings (as well as knitted) and usually make them around 8" which seems incredibly small but I'm assured that they're spot on - BUT I find the golden rule with buntings/sleepsacks is that no matter what size they are, there will always sadly be a baby needing that size. I'd just go with your gut on this one, stop when you feel it looks right.
Mrs MoneyPenny, very very well done, congratulations!!! What a feeling, I can only imagine!
Hugs for everyone on this rather miserable day, happy knitting (or crochet!!).

Morning all,
I'm feeling cheery today even though it's pouring down outside.
Maytaurus - hope you get to the hairdressers, could you get my hair cut while your there, I'm starting to look like Mrs mophead:o.
Mrs Moneypenny - Congratulations! :T You must have the biggest grin today:D.
I knitted one of the small sleeping bags and it came out really small, so I'm knitting the large size now to compare them, I've found the pattern ok though, I like the look of the crochet one so might have a go of that one too.
Have a good day everyone:cheesy::jWooligans Totals 2010:

afternoon all!!. It's lovely here now, sun is shining - makes a change from the rain earlier.
Is it today when Kathy may get connected to the internet?? Lets hope so. She must be so fed up of waiting - its horrible when you have no internet - you feel cut off from whats happening. Fingers crossed then.

Hi Everyone
Thanks agin for all the good Birthday Wishes. DOH and I have not got any grandchildren as yet but we are very lucky to have dear freinds of our own and our daughters who have little ones so we borrow them and we love it.
So we had a real old fashioned Birthday tea with them all and Pass The Parcel- Hunt the sweets and general Mayhem so it was lovely AND we just got straight and tidy by the beginning of Apprentice so that was fine.
I am so happy today because DOH has finished turning what was a study/DUMPING ground into a treatment room for my Reiki and DD1 who is just finishing her Beauty Therapy Course and it looks so lovely. The Charity shops and Freecycling must love us with the amount of clutter we have got rid of !!!
A life long friend gave me 3 balls of wool from Aldi so I have combined her good wishes together with mine and have started on the Burial Buntings --- I feel they must help so much in time of great need. I am wondering if some should be lined-- I have some soft flanelette- What do you think ?
I am crocheting them using Kathy's pattern which is great and quick but I just wondered if some of the dear littlse souls might need some material as well as the wool.
Well I hope we see Kathy soon
Dpixie -- Sorry the weather wasn't better -- Its horrible here too.
Maytaurus -- My DD1 'S birthday is on the 9th of May-- I wonder if you are like her.-- You sound lovely .
Have Good evenings everybody.Try and do a good deed every day.0
