I have a few boobs for you, which I will get posted off next week for sure. Also quite a few Aaron squares, about 16 blankets, pile of buntings, and some odds and ends. Tell your delivery man I apologize for his hernia in advance. :rotfl:
Don't know if you all remember me mentioning my Sister-in-law found out she had breast cancer a couple of weeks ago? They said she was fortunate in that it wasn't the most invasive form and the lump was on the outside, so it was very unlikely she would have to loose her breast. Well, they took her in to remove the lump within a couple of days and she got the results on Thursday. The cancer hasn't spread to her lymph nodes, but they found a secondary lump and she has to have a mastectomy on Monday. We are so gutted.
Bloody cancer has had enough dealings with my family. I lost my dad to stomach cancer when I was 14, and my sister from the same disease at the same age. My only uncle from the same thing too, although he was 84.
We did have one success over it though. My great-nephew was diagnosed with cancer when he was 18 months old, we went to the hospital when he was admitted thinking we were saying goodbye, but now he is in remission and is a lively 6 year old :TTotals: 30 Buntings, 2 Gowns, 13 Chalky Squares0 -
Morning all,
LC Wilson - Just read your post and I have tears in my eyes, how awful for you and your family, cancer is just vile, I lost my nan when I was 15 and my auntie has had several battles with it. Sending you big ((hugs)).
Shelley - I also have some boobs ready to send along with some other bits, will pack them up the weekend and send them off on monday.
Purpleteddybear, Shazrobo, Pam - I would love to meet up too although I think I'm a bit too far up from you all (in cumbria), sounds like fun tho.
Chalky75 - I have used parcel2go before and they seemed fine to me, there's also senditnow.com, worth a look, haven't used them for a while tho.
Maytaurus - Love your dogs, they're really cute.

Hi LC Wilson
I thought that I had had a bad week but after reading about your sister-in-law my thoughts are with you and her, my friend has had breast cancer for over 10 yrs off and on her last attack with two yrs ago when she had to have a double mastectomy she had a very ruff few weeks but now touch wood is fine she runs the local breast cancer group may be your sister-in-law could find a group because it helps to talk to someone who has walked in your shoes
sending you all love

Lorna, what a horrible time for your family and particularly your SIL. It must be a huge relief that it hasn’t got to her lymph nodes though. Thinking of youmrs-moneypenny wrote: »

Sounds lovely Mrs MP :rotfl:0 -
Oops, forgot - DH posted parcel to you Shelley and LH today. There are buntings, pr bootees and a flat boob. Will send the stuffed ones in another parcel. Please let me know what you think of the bunting in trebles as I was worried that it may be too holey.
Would love to meet at the lovely mill with Shaz, Dawn and Pam but live miiiillles away. Someone (sorry, don't remember who) suggested meeting at one of the bigger craft fairs this year so we can meet and add to our stashes. That might be another option for us? Don't know if anyone knows any details of any coming up?0 -
LCWilson-- so sorry to hear your news !!
Tight As - hope you are feeling a little stronger about your dear dog.
I hope everyone else is feeling good and ready for the weekend.
Well I got 2 big parcels ready to send, over 20k because of all the stuff from Spain as well and I could not find the right size container for Parcels2Go so I braved the Post Office .I hadnt realised that posting prices had taken a massive hike whilst we have been away but there we go -- At least it is for such a good cause. I think I will get the righ size box from now on and send it off through Parcels 2Go when it is jammed full. The postmaster said that so many people are looking to alternative carriers-- doesnt make much sense really !!!
Anyway on a better note I picked up some more Freeecycling wool so all goes around if you see what I mean.
I am going to print off the pattern for the clown hand puppets for Operation Christmas Child because DMIL collects a shoe box for them and it will help her
along.
The chocolte pizzas were a real success and we made up a hamper as DD1 is chief bridesmaid to her best friend on the 9th of May-- all weddings for us this year. Oh and zip still not in dress for DS's on May 23rd !!!! I must stop knitting !!!!Try and do a good deed every day.0 -
