morning all, happy St George's Day

SylviaD, not sure why it got delivered there as out house was only empty for 1 hour while i was at work and postie came before i left but last night at just after 8.30 as hubs was coming in off the park with youngest DD he got stopped by our neighbour who said she'd had a parcel for me stuffed through her door (its a good job youd got it in a plastic bag inside the envelope as the envelope was ripped to shreds she assured hubs it was damaged as postie forced it through her letterbox and her dogs hadn't been fighting over it. Thank you so much its an excellent match and i strated knitting as soon as he gave it me so the blanket square was finished by the time kimberley got fired for letting herself be bullied inot going along with the ridiculous pants man.
im planning on getting the ends sewn in this morning so i can give it my friends daughter when i see her at school this afternoon:T. the baby was due yesterday but she actually had her on easter monday 'annoa' but sure if thats the spelling but ive done it how it sounds.

got the window fixers round this afternoon then ive got a drs appt to check on an area he cauterised a couple of months ago (im sure its fine now as its not bled since he did it) my gp thought i had a 'worrying growth' forming but consultant decided it was a very thin area of skin with capillary so close t the surface that everytime i washed my face or put make up on and off i was catching it and making it bleed. hopefully the consultant was right and this will be te last visit once i get the ok.

i hope everyone is having a good day
hope pippa got off on her hols alright and gets plenty of rst and recuperation

    Three QUESTIONS

Has anyone used Parcels to Go-- are they absolutely fussy as to size of box and what size is 5 cubic feet anyway ?

When are we supposed to update these days-- is it at weekends?
I tried to join the Yahoo site to see all these wonderful piccies and I have to wait to be approved by the moderator==Is Kathy the moderator or can 1 of you kind peeps who are already members help?

Ok I will be back later, covered in chocolate I expect !!!

G'mornin Chalky have fun shopping - hmm chocolate pizza - makes my mouth water thinking of it.

UPDATES - recently we've been updating once a week - I have been compiling the summary on Sunday evening so if updates can be posted by teatime Sunday - say 5.00pm that's great by me.
Its not a problem what day you post your update to the thread but I would prefer weekends so I get loads of posts close together. Hope that makes sense?

I haven't used Parcels2Go - Loving Hands people seem to be using them - try asking on their forum - I'm sure someone will help.

    Luv

G'mornin F1widow - hope you enjoyed the F1 coverage at the weekend - have to say it bores me silly - but I love watching golf - what can I say!:rotfl:

As far as I'm aware Mioliere has no problem including things made for other charities on the Updates, I can easily add Operation christmas child to the list.

I've just looked at their website and I think I would like to knit something for them as well. I quite fancy the clown puppets, also the really bright beanie hats, OK probably the teddy puppets as well. Now look what you've done:j

Come on girls - have a look.

Morning all, a bit cloudy and drizzly here today so not much reason to be outside ( more time for cuppas and knitting - yay)

f1widow/prfungi I may be wrong, and I hope someone will come along and correct me if I am, but I understood that as long as we are knitting for ANY charitable cause or fundraising effort, the things will be added to the totals. (Just thinking of things donated to Mrs Moneypenny`s choirboys event)

I must admit I haven`t sent anything to preemiesuk so far, as I do things for our local special care baby unit and hand them in there, rather than sending them off to Shelley to maybe be sent back up here again.

If I`m wrong I apologise and will hold out my wrists to be well and truly slapped.

Chalky - think Kathy`s the only one who can `approve` you. Cross your fingers F tel get things sorted out for her soon. There are some great pics on the wooligans forum.

DH is off to his cardiac exercises again, just off to give my wee grandson his lunch before he goes to nursery then I`m off to meet up with 2 of the girls from Loving Hands to try and organise a local group up here :T
Be back later to see if I`m getting my wrists slapped _pale_
