Fruit Scones for me please!:j
luv
Pam
Sorry Pam, scones are not one of my specialities I`m afraid (like crochet ) maybe I`ll master both of them yet. Made some of Twinks` hobnobs and my old faithful melting moments (custard creams) only to discover DH had thrown the sweetie tins from Christmas, which I was going to `recycle` as biscuit tins, in the wheeliebin  , couldn`t rescue them either as the lorry had just been. :rotfl:. DS came home from work and said `Never mind Mum, they won`t last long enough to get as far as a tin." and shot off upstairs with a handful of them !! It`s either a feast or a famine in this house, and by this time tomorrow it will be back to famine:mad:

Gosh we do get around don't we!!I'm firmly planted at Home, which for the last 30 years has been Edinburgh, although I originally hail from Angus, as did generations of the family going way back. Pity you and I weren't a little closer!!

Elaine, the melting moments only just manage to get the filling in then they just magic away.....................I would like to find out who takes them, but it even happens when I am alone in the house? How strange is that? As for Twinks hobnobs well I swear that my neighbour (half a mile away) smells them coming out of the oven and arrives for a tea, I just can't win perhaps there is a ghost around here that's doing all the scoffing of goodies. Since I made scones for the school bake day - share a recipe - the whole village can now make drap't scones and shortbread, so I don't need to ever do them again. Been gardening today, washed down the greenhouse and tomorrow if I get the time I shall tackle the polytunnel but its lovely and warm in there when the sun shines so I don't mind it at all.

Hi everyone, well what a day first I met up with Shazrobo - lovely to meet you Shaz. We had a good natter over a huge cup of Starbucks coffee in Meadowhall shopping centre - I passed on the lovely 4ply wool which I got in the donation last week. Shaz promised to knit some vent hats from it. :A rather her than me!
After coffee I went to see Mum - she told me yesterday she had a problem with some of her knitting !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She certainly had - I'd left her with 3 lots of wool cast on, 1 was OK and well underway - the other two had "rebelled" 2 glorious rats nests of lovely chunky yarn - it took me an hour and a half to unravel them! - still can't work out how she manages to create such a mess its really fantastic. (must take camera with me in future)
Finally took poorly cat to Vets - another injection - he's still sulking in the dining room. Dog also sulking 'cos I took cat out without her - carefully explained that we went to the place she hates but it makes no difference.:D
Shaz - wish I'd stayed in meadowhall with you talking knitting & kids. Think I'll have another coffee - this with a slug of Baileys in it.
'bye for now
:smileyhea
