Finally got through the gown last night, I did the small one, can't believe how tiny it is! Anyhow, working on the hat to match now and will update both once the hat is completed. My cousin gave birth to a bouncing baby boy in the early hours of this morning, and I was so convinced she was having a girl, I haven't knitted anything suitable!!! So I'll take time out today to do something for the little lad and the plan is do some some more buntings too, and get everything sent off to you tomorrow, Shelley, but I'll post here to let you know.

Have a good weekend everyone - Kathy I hope your aches settle shortly, make sure you don't overdo it, regardless of how much packing you have to do! Maytaurus I love your posts, they brighten my day no end!

Hi all - typing here with a bruised left hand after my spectacular fall in the garden yesterday, but it's not as bad as I expected it to be. Just as well with all the packing!

Mrs Moneypenny - your idea for the updates while I'm offline is brilliant, thanks.

    UPDATING WHILE I'M MOVING

I am leaving the UK on Saturday 21st March and will have my new internet connection set up on Thursday 26th March, so I'll be incommunicado for 5 days (how will I stand it?!). I'll do my last update here on Friday 20th and re-start on Friday 27th, hopefully. Mrs Moneypenny has suggested that everyone keeps their own updates going and then adds them to the thread in one go, once I've posted on here to say I'm back. You can still add your new items when you post as normal but, if you would post with your final updates and give your post a title (something like 'Items added since 20th March'), it would make it easier for me to get the running totals right! I hope this makes sense!
Sounds a great idea - I'm wondering if this would be worth continuing - a weekly summary for Mioliere to update from ! Just thinking of the time saving - we should get a load more knitting from her if she's not testing her maths every day :rotfl:(Sorry Kathy)

    regards
    Pam

(ps. would also make the spreadsheet simpler - the one I've got so far is giving me some  moments but thats normal for me.)

I have made the decision that we will PERMANTLY not be accepting crochet/knitted squares for blankets, we will accept COMPLETED blankets.
I have altered our website to reflect this the info is here
We only accept completed knitted/crochet blankets they need to be able to fit comfortably over a person’s lap as a guide 50 inches wide by 63 inches in length, they can of course be bigger than this. Any colours and style of stitch may be used
So this site is now only for COMPLETED blankets & Cross Stitched Squares
I have therefore left the group and altered the info at #964

You may like to consider using up any odd 7x7 squares you have for Dog blankets
    For Dogs on death row
Blankets & bedding for the dogs
Coats new or used for the dogs & lots more knitters welcome

Prfungi - why didn't I think of that? Thanks for such a brillliant idea! A weekly summary from everyone would be perfect. If everyone is happy with that, I think it's the way to go. I have to go out now but I'll be back later.

I went and found some lovely white and pale blue to do some squares and at the same time picked up a bag of ironing thinking I really had better try some ironing before knitting .............. so by the time I have done some ironing one of you lot might have given me the answer ha ha

I think weekly updates is a great idea Kathy, it would make life much easier for you. Is this something you want to start now, and if so, what day of the week do you want updates? I have a gown & hat to update, just don't want to confuse the issue!!
