Hi all, am enjoying my knitting every night around 7.pm I sit down with my wool and enjoy it. just wondered has any of you read the book called The knitting circle by Ann Hood? I got it on playtrade, cheaply of course:). It is a lovely story about a group of women who meet up to knit once a week, with their different stories and I only started it the other night and am really enjoying it. If you like Mauve Binchey's books you would enjoy this one.
Do a little kindness every day.;)

Hi everyone - not had much chance on here since this morning. I've been sorting out the paperwork side of our move and have finally sorted out the internet connection, so we can log in to our new provider within a short time of moving in. Of course, our move will not be easy and will involve leaving here on the evening of 21st March, sailing on the nighttime ferry to France, arriving at our house around midday, unloading for the rest of that day and the morning of the following day, and driving back up to the port for the sailing back to the UK to drop off the truck, and pick up one of our cars. We think friends of ours are coming with us to help, and because they are nosy (their word, not ours!), so they can take one of our cars at the same time as we take the truck. We will bring our trailer back in the truck, fill it with any stuff that doesn't go in the truck, and tow it back with the other car. Sounds complicated, doesn't it, and I am in constant panic mode at the moment.

Anyway, welcome to Sevenup01 - look forward to you joining us when you finish work and thanks for the link to the wool supplier! Please read the very first post on this thread for all the relevant info, and please feel free to ask any questions.

Mrs Moneypenny - I've amended your ducklings!

S-Michaels - and anyone else who feels guilty for not being able to knit loads - please don't! There's no pressure to make loads of things - we fit the knitting into our own busy lives (I've hardly made anything lately!), so please don't feel bad. Every single item is welcome, so one hat is as brilliant as several!

Anyway, must go - I've taken a break while DH goes to the bank! I fully intend to take it easy tonight, after last night spent watching the techie genius make my PC like new! I just want to sit with my wool and relax.

My tape measure is spooky, I swear.

I'm on knitting buntings. On with the 6th one since yesterday, and even though I very carefully measured each and every one of them, they are all slightly different sizes . I know I've used 3 different yarns, so I was extra vigilant in checking... It's an X-File :rotfl:
Totals: 30 Buntings, 2 Gowns, 13 Chalky Squares
