They don't have March tickets yet, but Goldstar regularly has them discounted to $27 (plus $6 service fee)

Tickets are also regularly available at the 1/2 price ticket booths once you get there - I wouldn't pay full price in advance for this show.

  • Hi all,

I'm going to Vegas using the cheap Expedia.au/NWA flights from Heathrow in May this year. I received an email yesterday from Expedia stating the flight is with Delta now and the plane has changed from an A330 to a Boeing 767. I know the A330s had a good entertainment system. Does anybody know what Delta offer in service and entertainment?

    Thanks

    This may help:

They have several configurations of the 767 but this is the only one labeled transatlantic...if it's the correct one for your flight, appears that it has video on demand.

"Each seat features an in-seat television with Audio and Video On Demand (AVOD) and a touchscreen. There is a selection of music, movies and other programming that the passenger completely controls. In economy, you'll need the special double prong headphone adapter to use your own headphones. If you need to purchase headphones the cost is $2. As with all touchscreens on the seatbacks, it can be bothersome when the person behind you is using it."

It looks like the other versions not marked transatlantic aren't nearly so well equipped...mostly with overhead screens.

Hi Ferf, thanks for the reply and the link. Well I hope it is the transatlantic model and not the other types shown. :(

Maybe go to delta.com - put in your dates and departure and arrival airport for the transatlantic leg (not sure where you are connecting on the way out or back)...there you can see what type of plane is assigned to that route...afraid to say that a quick check for random dates in May seemed to bring up the 767-300ER type.

May be worth investing in an Archos/Creative/Ipod if in-flight entertainment is important to you.

Back in November i travellled with Delta to Atlanta; the "entertainment" was poor. The plane had overhead screens throughout the cabin but the screens where difficult to view because they where located above the "aisle" rather than above the seats. The sound quality was also poor i gave up trying to watch the movies due to not being able to hear it and cramp in my neck! lol ... on the "plus side" food was nice on board especially the pizza and icecream :D

just to add ... i travelled on Boeing 767-300

Just a heads up for anyone who's used Circuit City for electrical purchases in Vegas...apparently they've gone out of business (looks like they were under Chapter 11 protection).

Circuit City would like to thank all of the customers who have shopped with us over the past 60 years. Unfortunately, we announced on January 16, 2009, that we are going out of business.

For anyone travelling in the very near future may be worth seeing if there are any particularly good deals to be had in store:

"Liquidators will start arriving in our 567 stores across the U.S. over the weekend, and closing sales will start as early as Saturday, January 17. Closing sales will run as long as it takes to sell existing inventory, but are expected to wrap up by the end of March. When the liquidation sales are completed, the stores will be closed."

Mmm....Had a look at the Delta site Ferf and put our dates in 22-27th May. What is strange is that that our flight with NWA connected us in Detroit but there is no Detroit option on the Delta site....Very strange. Our itinerary still shows a change in Detroit.

From what I can see Delta only fly to Detroit from LHR via another city...I assume your intinerary doesn't now show a stop before Detroit?
