If anyone is flying with Virgin from Heathrow on Good Friday morning, I can guest 1 person into the clubhouse.
That is a very kind offer indeed:TThe common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
The Bellagio FountainsMy friends went to see it and said it was great (10 years ago)
So they dragged us along to it (5 years ago)
And I was not impressed and they said that there was only about half the floats there used to be!
DK
They redid it earlier this year - supposedly upgraded a lot and added new floats...when we went they only had 2 or 3 running but shortly thereafter they did the upgrade. Havne't been since to know how much better it is.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
The Bellagio FountainsI think my friends are going to book through Virgin Holidays, it works out slightly more expensive, around £250 for the pair of them - but they want to convenience of paying a deposit and then the rest 5 weeks before and the fact you get access to the V Lounge!
I suppose if for budgeting purposes this is what they want to do then it's a good idea though seems a bit odd to me to pay more to delay paying the balance...if you book direct, you'll only have to pay for the flight and first night hotel up front...the rest of the hotel won't be paid until you check out.
I dunno, to me £125 pp is quite a lot for access to the lounge, but to each their own....it's what has value to them that's important.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Thanks
It's back on TZ even though it wasn't there earlier today.
Direct with the V Theater it's $49pp for General Admission and $64 for the Golden Circle. They won't give a price for VIP for some reason. Guessing that it will be about $59 for VIP and you should be able to get them at Tix4Tonight, with fees and taxes I would think it would be around $68-70 for 2 tickets, but without the "free" drinks.0 -
The Bellagio Fountainsi have seen a fair few shows in Vegas so my 2 cents are as follows.
The Best show i have seen in Vegas ( or anywhere else) is Hands down Le Reve @ The Wynn . i bet people are bored of me always suggesting it , but it is truly spectacular . don't be put off by the abstract nature of the show ( it is very hard to define in a few sentances) , all i will say is it is a class act from start to finish with breath taking stunts and Chorography
.just don't do what we did and go and see the Sirens of TI afterwards, it put into very sharp focus how good Le Reve was , and how truly awful that piece of cheesy crap on the pirate ship is.
If you have seen Phantom then you know what to expect . all i would say is The Venetain Theater is Very much up to the job with excellent acoustics.
Blue Man Group @ The Venetian is well worth seeing as is Jubliee @Ballys . if you want pretty girls and a big budget show then Jubliee is a much better bet than Zumanity @ NYNY i think. i have not seen Zumanity but i do not think it is a topless show and all people i saw coming out from it had a bemused look on their faces.
. Jubliee has a very thin story but great sets and numbers . put it this way , my wife loved it for the Traditional Vegas showgirl show , andt thats saying something for a show that also has about 100 topless hotties on stage at one time . even the intermission acts are worth seeing in it . if you haven't already considered purchasing it , The LVA members reward booklet gives you a 2 for 1 voucher worth $88 for Jubliee. good value indeed as the whole membership only costs $37 .i have never seen this show at the half price outlets either
if you want magic i'd avoid David Copperfield.
if you want funny both The Amazing Jonathon and Defending the Caveman are good shows. Rita Rudner is also worth seeing for half price.
Dirty Hypnosis is also great fun but be prepared for a kind of back room club type feel at The Harmon Theatre .
i did not think Mystere was that great (a big guy dressed up as baby with Giant bottle and riding a Golf buggy does not make good entertainment in my book) . don't know if it is still on but i'd skip The Producers too . avoid Spamalot unless you are a very big monty python fan
don't forget afternoon shows. Mac King is brilliant and almost free to see. Popovich animal Theatre is worth seeing too . was not bowled over by ronn lucas. If Dirk Arthur is still on @ The Tropicanna it makes for a good cheap afternoon show too.
Many thanks for this dude, I think we are going to pick 2 night (as we are only there 4 nights) to do things.
I think one of them we will do the Mystrey Tour/adventures done by Ferf and Stoneman. Then the other night we really fancy Lion King being unable to see that in NY when we were on broadway. We saw Spamalot last time and loved it although had rubbish seats.
Wheres the best place to find discount tickets for Lion King and knowing if its on when we are there?
Cheers again, thanks given of course

Usually it's very unlikely to get discount tickets to a new show...though in this economy it's anyone's guess. Just checked your dates and you're there pretty much immediately after it officially opens...so...discounts seem very unlikely ...tickets go on sale end of Feb.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
The Bellagio FountainsI'm a DIY man as well.
Just about to book accomodation, anyone been in an Augustus Tower Room at Ceasers?? its either that or the Celebrity Spa Suite at MGM, leaning towards Ceasers as i've stayed at the MGM before (and of course Ceasers Palace is next to the Forum Shops which has a Cheesecake Factory!!).

I thought just over $100 for Donny and Marie was great value. (The $250 seats are too close you miss some of the overall effects-but do include meeting them both afterwards)
The show's great (OK I'm biased Donny was my first love as a teenager) and unlike a lot of Vegas shows everyone seems to enjoy it -most other shows seem to have some grumblers afterwards
It's fast moving ,lots of dancing, light on their own hits and non cheesy
Just noticed this post and can't understand how I missed it when I saw the one straight after it at the time! Sorry!
So you think the cheaper seats would be OK? It's a distinct possibility that we will go, but I haven't thought about booking yet. Did you book well ahead?
Oh to meet Donny Osmond! * Swoon* :rotfl:
Must get this planner started otherwise I'll be booking shows at one end of the strip when I'm staying at the other.0 -
