Finally booked our car hire, and went with carhire3000 this time as for the first time in all our trips they were cheaper than netflights. We got a dodge charger with dollar, 8 days rental for £184 (including full tank of petrol). I'm very pleased as the same car with netflights is £197 without the full tank of petrol:D

2 weeks today and i'll be on my way to vegas:j
Beware of that Charger, all looks and no substance. Must be the single worst car I have hired in Vegas (becides the Magnum). The boot is real small and the back seats don't fold down, so hope you don't have lots of luggage.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

It'll be 'Dodge Charger or similar'...so could probably pick anything in the full size section. We were OK with ours as we could put extra cases on the back seat as it was a 4-door - though were going straight to the airport so not leaving them out in sight in a parking garage or anything like that.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

totally, so that is Killers in MB and Mayweather in MGM

Good job I fly in on the 1st and back out on the 19th

Trets, how easy is it to set up your poll, are we not running becuase we have run out of ideas, should it be removed? or waiting for something to come along,

I have been a less frequent user over the last few weeks/months, I do a fair amount of work in vegas (So yes get paid for going!)

But just wondering why all the people come onto this site, what it it 300k of views with 6k of comments

So keen to find out what people are looking for?

    1, Want help with Hotels
    2, Want help with flights
    3, Want help with restaurants
    4, Want help with attractions
5, Want to see what is on when they are visiting (Am I missing something which I shouldn't be)
6, Want to help others/offer opinions ---- This is me!
    7, General Vegas help - players club/golf
    8, Shopping

What are peoples thoughts on this, if it is daft shout...

Sorry for the delay in replying , have been away for a long weekend ( Dartmoor is nice for a 2 night stay won in a comp , but it ain't Vegas ) .

it is very easy to create a new poll , why don't you give it a a go .

Simply start a Brand new thread on the Travel board (does not have to be about anything ) , post the link here and i then get the travel Board Admin to merge this thread and the new "poll" thread . because this thread can have only one poll the Admin simply chooses the new poll , and bingo we have a new poll .

i;m good with anything as i have to admit i am out of ideas for a new one . one thing though make sure the time scale for the new poll goes upto 31st of December . ;)

    Trets,

Hope you had a good time, not a bad comp win, not vegas, but it was a break,

I was just looking at options to remove the poll which is on top of the page, I did not have much feedback so believe it is a no-go, what about when people (dates) are going to vegas and allowing for multiple entries, so our fellow vegasites can put in when they are going, we can see what type of volumes are reading this and going, and of course if a couple of people are in vegas in september it opens up conversation and possibility of MSE meet-ups

So what do people think, previous idea in hindsight after hearing thoughts would be difficult to achieve and people have many different needs/reasons for vegas,

And then you have the people who are the same as 'Bubbles' from little Britain who says ' I need everything darlings yes everything' - you can tell what I just saw on tv

sounds good . plus it could run and run and people could see who is in Vegas when they are planning on a visiting .

i shall do the leg work tomorrow barring strong objections .

Where can I get stamps for postcards? I'm talking about one or two, not a whole book from Wallgreens. Are there boring things like post offices in Las Vegas?

Any hotel gift shop should have stamps, but I don't know if you need to buy a book of them.

Discount code for Alamo car hire 7012298. Never hired a car so no idea how long it's valid for, how much discount, etc.
