So that is the killers and mayweather, that should be a fun (Sorry Expensive weekend)

Indeed - may end up being a good example of why booking something cancellable in advance and stalking better deals closer to your dates makes sense. :)

Oddly, I can't see in the T&Cs where it says you have to be a local to book this offer...other than in the name of the offer. :)

    Agreed - I'd personally be paranoid to book it if I wasn't a local...but I'm known for paranoia about booking deals I shouldn't. :)

Yeah I wouldnt dare do it either! Had a quick look and I think the prices are the same on both deals (or there very similar if there not) only diff I can see is that dates that the offers run.

Thanks for all the info so far, looking to go sometime between 16th August and 5th September.

Have a look at Fat Wallet HERE as well as https://www.smartervegas.com Check the last few pages as Page 1 is no longer updated.

I would consider staying in at least 2 hotels if not 3 if you are going to be there for 2 weeks. A budget of £1000 or $1640 is an average of $117 and is easily doable. However be aware that Vegas hotel rates typically double or more Friday and Saturday nights.

Come back with some hotels you are interested in and the rates, preferably in $$, and we can advise further.

Luci - did you see that they've rescheduled the Mayweather fight for September 19th?

    http://sport.stv.tv/boxing/105235-mayweather-v-marquez-fight-rescheduled-for-september-19/

Will be interesting to see what it does to hotel rates that weekend.

Yes I saw that a couple of days ago, but it wasn't confirmed at the time. That end of the strip will be manic with the fight and the Killers (12000 capacity) at the same time.

At the moment I still have Paris and Bally's booked for that date.

Remember I booked for the Friday and they wouldn't let me cancel the Friday and arrive on the Saturday? The reason is that they are closed to Saturday arrivals.

I didn't cancel the reservation and decided to hold off in case they opened up to Saturday arrivals. The only other 2 dates I found that were closed to Saturday arrivals were 4 July and 5 September. Been monitoring 4 July and that has now opened so I am hoping for the same for 19 September.
