I think Paris is a nice property - but depending on what you're looking for you might be just as happier somewhere else...maybe if you give an idea what's important to you in a hotel and perhaps what you're used to in terms of accomodation, folks here could help make suggestions? I really think it depends a lot on what people are used to...I doubt very much you would be disappointed in Paris, but it's quite possible somewhere else much less expensive would be perfectly nice for you and you'd save some money as well.
My main priority for a hotel would be that it's clean and has a good location. I'd like to have a decent bathroom and get somewhere that would be a good introduction to vegas. I know thats not much to go on, but i'm new to US hotels and really dont know what to expect really0 -

I think you'll find any of the mid-strip hotels would be clean and have a good location...I know several people here are quite happy at Imperial Palace which will be a lot more basic than Paris, but also a lot less expensive. TangoBunny posted some photos of her room not too long ago - here:

You could also consider Bill's, Flamingo, Harrah's, Bally's...maybe even Planet Hollywood. If a pool is of significant importance Flamingo's is one of the best in Vegas (but gets very crowded), but you can use the Flamingo pool if you stay at Bill's.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

The MGM is costing us $113.36 for two rooms. I think this is a good deal.0 -

Interesting - Flamingo is less booking direct...at least for the standard rooms at each property...I'd think that unless there were a convention at Flamingo or something that Flamingo would always be less than Paris for similar levels of rooms.
Edited to add - appears that Expedia have a stay 4 nights get 25% off deal for Paris, but not Flamingo...so that's probably why Paris is less...Flamingo is about $440 direct, but £332 through expedia, so lots cheaper to book direct in that case.
Just goes to show that checking all options makes sense.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

I was hoping I could ask a specific vegas question here - we will be in vegas from the 16th to 20th of september and have seen rooms in Hotel paris for £73 a night (average) and covering fri and sat nights. do people think this is a good deal or should I wait till nearer to time we go - the rate is not fully refundable via the website i have found it on. I was also wondering if i could get the same rate through the hotel itself somehow - it's not on their website, so i could cancel if any better deals came up?
any thoughts - info on other hotel deals would be very much appreciatedThe common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
