Yikes that is a bit tight -Have you checked to see if there is a terminal change too?
At least you'll have already cleared customs but you WILL need to collect your luggage and recheck it as you're on two different tickets0 and Vegas can be horribly slow for bags coming through.
It's do-able if everything goes your way-but if you can change to a later flight (or next day) for not much money it may be a good investment.
I'm assuming you have the onward flight on a seperate ticket.
Put it like this I fly a lot and I would consider what you're hoping to do risky to the point I wouldn't do it personally on a cheap fare that may be invalid if you miss your connection.
Sorry-I know that isn't what you want to hear
Thanks for the info. I cant cancel now as its non refundable. I made a balls up with the booking, but on the up side I have got insurance to cover me now (confimed by the insurance company by e-mail). So if the worst happens I will pay for another flight and then claim the fare back.0 -
The Bellagio Fountains
I'm not ready for you to go home either...I will really miss the updates as it's almost a little bit like being there!Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Hi Claire - I'm intrigued by the idea of Olives and I see that Bellagio's website indicates the dress code is casual...have you noticed what people generally wear there? I think I always assumed that it would be more dressy than we like just because it's at Bellagio. I know a lot of people love dressing up for dinner on holiday but for us it's the last thing we want to do.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
The Bellagio FountainsI forgot to add that I also agree with Mon Ami Gabi for a nice dinner and it is definitely worth it to book an hour earlier than you want to eat and wait for a patio table.0

Yeah i'd say its pretty casual, maybe "smartish casual" is a better way to describe it though. I've seen loads of people there in shorts and t-shirt and i've also seen some people dressed up to the nines but i'd say the majority fall somewhere in the middle which is why we like it so much. I'd usually wear something like linen trousers/skirt, vest top and flat sandals and OH usually wears something like jeans and a shirt.
There is a really laid back feel about the place which surprised me the first time i went as it looks really posh when you first walk in. Plus the patio has such a relaxed and enjoyable feel about it as people are always so excited to be that close to the fountains. Its such an amazing atmosphere out on the patio, for us its our favourite thing about being in vegas and its why we go there every trip:D HTH x:starmod:C'est la vie:starmod:0 -
The Bellagio FountainsLast instalment HERE Homeward bound tomorrow and I'm trying not to think about it.
All being well, we should get home 22 hours after leaving the Signature. I'm also trying not to think about the jetlag as it normally takes me 7-10 days to recover. The only time I handled it well was when we flew home on the Wednesday and went back to work on the Thursday.0 -
The Bellagio FountainsLuci, I just wanted to say thank you for your amazing trip reports and the time and effort you have put into them.:T
Found them hugely enjoyable to read and picked up loads of tips.
Welcome home to the Vegas 'waiter's', (those of us waiting to go):D who fully understand the sense of loss and sadness at having to go back to normal land.
Remember what happens in Vegas.......should go in a trip report.:rotfl: xxDFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

like the others say it's all subjective and down to personal taste , but here is my 2 cents .
like you say you cannot hope to fit everything in like you say , so don't try .
some good ideas to do as a couple would be- See the Bellagio Fountains then go to The Bellagio Conservatory
- Take a helicopter flight of the Grand Canyon
- Take a Gondalo ride inside The Venetian
I love spending a good 10 seconds watching the gondolas. 75% of the time you see a really embarassed bloke hoping nobody they know walks past. You really have to be a "special" sort of person to even contemplate going on one.0 -

I'm not sure if it's changed, but the first time we went a few years ago we booked and when we arrived asked to sit on the patio...they sent us to the podium giving out buzzers and the girls there said that the bookings were only for inside - that patio was only first come, first served...so if we wanted to sit outside in the future just come and get a buzzer as booking won't get us in quicker...so that's what we've done the last few times.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Safe trip home, Luci - and I'll second Triker's thanks for your ongoing report - I really enjoyed reading it and will miss it now that it's over. I hear you on the jetlag - took me about a week this last trip - think since I'm not working it made it that much harder as I could sneak naps during the day if I wanted!Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0
