Las Vegas thread and MSE guide 2009

Hi everyone - I have been an avid follower of this forum for the past few months and I am soooooo happy to say I have finally booked for my first ever trip to Vegas this August!

Me and my O/H are flying to Vegas with Virgin, staying 5 nights in the MGM Grand (inc upgrade to West Wing room) for the bargain price of about £270 thanks to you kind guys posting the 'MGM Grand from $49/ night' link!!!

We have pre-booked a hire car with Dollar via Netflights (big thanks again for pointing me in the right direction) and are picking it up on our last day in Vegas at the MGM Grand, we will then be driving to LA (3 night stay) then on to San Fransisco (4 night stay) before heading home.

I am very excited about our trip and am thoroughly enjoying everyones TR's! Hope to post my own when I get back!!!

One of my favorite TR writers is a girl who used to post on Open Vegas - username NuggetBrain.

Ferf, I'm hoping to meet Nugget on her hen (batchelorette) visit to Vegas in early June. She's a member of Brian's board now since she was banned from OV. I'll send you a link to her facebook page if you like.

No those aren't the ones I was thinking of although I thoroughly enjoyed Lantana's one last year.

I can't remember if misnomer's one was funny, but it sticks in my mind for some reason, but Bruce's observations as a first timer had me in stitches! Things like, "I thought they were attached to the machine by an umbilical".

Sitting in Atlanta airport waiting for our flight home, just a quick post to say all went well and had a massive win on the craps table last night, 5 numbers on the fire bet on the craps table at ferffs favroite place Ballys, will post more details when we get home
PS don't order a beer in ATL, $8.00 for a Heineken!!!
