    Quiz time guys...

How much do people normally budget to spend per day in Vegas?

(excluding accomodation / car hire etc, so just literallly for food and drink and activities... on average)

    Thanks

We just spend whatever we need to, to be honest. It all depends on what's planned for the day.

Some days we will be by the pool and have to weigh in the cost of a cabana and drinks then a meal at night. A day like that could be well over $300. Some days we go shopping and spend a few hundered then a meal later. There's been other days where we have spent as little as $50 just on refreshments and food. I think in my case, I spend most money at night. If I do gamble, its for fun and its nothing over $20 or so.

stoneman didn't say "he" bought Tracy's clothes and shoes. I wouldn't be surprised if Tracy' bought them herself.

Will be an expensive holiday over the two weeks

What sort of days do you have planned ? Might make it easier for some of us to tell you what to expect to pay ?

    Hi Guys,

We're getting our bits n bobs ready as we go on Wedneday for a week.

As yet we only have 1 show planned - Cher on Sunday 15th.

We have been looking at the 25% off the Cirque show Love & looking at Cat 3 tickets - roughly $173 for both of us. Now there are 2 shows at the weekends - for those who have been do you feel is there much difference between the early/late show in terms of atmosphere etc?

Also, the arena looks quite small so I assume that there really isn't a bad place in the house? Every time I select Cat 3 it gives me Block 305 row EE. Now thinking back to Ka last year we were quite far back & this meant we didn't miss anything - is this the case with this show?

Oh & 1 last thing. British sport - does anyone know where you'd be able to find any live footie - my team (Celtic) are in a cup final next week & I'd like to catch it although I'm not holding out much hope.

    Cheers

Thanks guys, if people can even just give an idea of average spend on food per day that would help... afterall we have to eat but drinking, gambling and activities can be as much or little as we need them to be.....

What we ended up doing for my in-laws was showing them the Grand Lux Cafe menu...I started out doing a listing of various breakfast, lunch and dinner prices of places we were likely to go for them to have a look at to get an idea for their food budget but then though that Grand Lux was pretty mid-range and would be good for getting an average as sometimes you would eat cheaper, sometimes more expensive. Portions are big in America and while my husband and I rarely miss a meal, we normally only have 2 meals a day in Vegas.

Looks like they removed prices from their website, but it's still on usmenuguide.com

    http://www.usmenuguide.com/grandluxcafe.htm

Lots of other Vegas restaurants on there too - Peppermill is one of our favorites and portions are enormous (again, never accused of being a light eater and rare *I* can finish more than 1/2 of what is on my plate).
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Early vs. late show - I haven't noticed any real difference other than a) if it's early in the trip, the late show is a killer due to jetlag - saw O at 10pm a few years ago and was a great show but soooo hard to stay awake and b) the early show can cause issues with dinner times - you either end up eating early or late. All seats for Love I would think are good but I think farther back is better than closer to the front.

    As for footie...

Maybe email them to see if they are showing the match?

I have just emailed - thanks!!

Also, I was thinking the same about the shows at the start of our week. I have noticed that they have been on sale at the 1/2 price booths this week but not the last 2 nights.

I seem to remember they were popular last year so just need to decide to book now or take my chances next week at the booths. I was hoping to see Carrot Top too but seems he has a holiday when we're there.

I'm sure we will pick up another show or 2 over there.

Just changed my money over today - $1.381 for £1 :o

    Not long now!!!:T
