Maybe worth trying www.auto-europe.co.uk, they were cheapest for us last time around. We did not pay any extra fees for one-way, from SF to Vegas.

You can also get 8% cashback via quidco.

Thanks for the replies. We will be flying home from LA as well so it will be a standard hire not one way - I'll check them out.

Im sorry but those who honestly believe the Bellagio Fountains is the best free thing to do in Vegas must not have gone to Freemont and got legless on $1 margaritas.

So where's the FREE part ????

Are you sure? Im not sure what Premium insurance is but......

It was definitely £5 per day cause the full premium insurance price for 9 days is £45.

Off to vegas in june 25 of us on a 50th birthday. Looking to go to grand canyon, any tips on booking trip, eg before we get there, after we get there,
discounts, promo codes etc. also looking at night time flight over strip,
Any other ideas for trips. any go karting ? cheers.

I did a helicopter flight in Feb on my husbands birthday which landed in the Grand Canyon. We paid $688 for the two of us to fly from McCarron, over the hoover dam, land in the Grand Canyon, champagne picnic and back over the strip. We did it with Sundance helicopters, but could of done it cheaper with other companies. However, only Sundance and Maverick fly out of McCarron the others go from Boulder City and the travelling time to there eats in to your time for the flight - time from hotel to hotel is approx 3.5 hours for most of the companies. It was a really good day and as it was my husbands birthday we got to sit with the pilot so had a really good view.
We found a $50 voucher for Pappillion at the mono rail station in one of there stands, but there are normally vouchers in the booklets which get handed out on the street.
I think that a night flight over the strip was approx $99 and you can also do a sunset helicopter ride. We booked out there in the end and didn't have any problems.

    Hope this helps.

I saw that too, but think that may be for car rental through Virgin Holidays...if you choose car rental in Virgin's main site it does say it's £5 for the platinum upgrade from the standard inclusive rate.

I had a look and the dates I was looking at it was actually not a bad deal even with the platinum upgrade...cheaper that CH3000 even...much to my surprise!
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Wow, they do seem quite cheap. Just looked for our week in April, the cheapest motor is £106 for a week (w/o Platinum).

Just done a comparison VS against my December rental w CH3000 for a Compact with Platinum for 9 days - CH3000 comes out £30 cheaper.
