    From the Nationwide website

"Will I be charged the Visa fee for withdrawing cash from a cash machine?
Select the country you are visiting from the list below, if it is listed as "no fee charged" you will not be charged. Otherwise you will be charged the fee. Please remember if you use your credit card to withdraw cash you will be charged a cash advance fee."

Looks like I was right then to assume that you will be charged for using a debit card in the US from 1st June

I was beginning to think I had led everyone astray.

The original link said May 6th for credit card and 1st June for debit card

Then it won't affect you as the fee doesn't apply to any of those countries.

Where does it say that they won't charge the fee for cash machine withdrawals in the US?

We go to Vegas in May so luckily will be ok to use our debit cards for cash machine withdrawals... phew!

It doesn't say that. That reply was to Tangobunny who had said that it would affect all her holidays after Vegas. It won't as it doesn't apply to Europe.

All the information is on the Nationwide website.

Whilst on the netbook subject, just seen this on HUKD, not sure how good a deal it is:

    http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/348192/mini-notebook-medion-akoya-e1210-ms/

Got a big screen, 6-cell battery & 3 yr warranty.

    Hope this helps someone.

Looks a good deal to me - basically the same machine I got today with extra software for about £20 less, and an additional year's warranty!
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

    Thanks for clarifying it Luci

    OMG that's terrible
We have to travel up to the airport the day before as it's a 5 hour drive and OH isn't up to it
We will be staying overnight at a B+B....I'd be mortified if that happened to me as even if they did try to ring us to let us know we wouldn't be home from mid day the day before the flight

    Hi guys,

    Just thought I'd share this.

I got an email from the BJ fanclub & tickets for this go on sale on Saturday but are currently on presale to fanclub members but if you're not you can buy on Saturday from www.ticketmaster.com.

We seen them last April in the MGM & they were superb. Tickets are pricey though - $191 for basic standing tickets & fees - think this is a small venue though but not sure.

    Cheers
