Whilst on the netbook subject, just seen this on HUKD, not sure how good a deal it is:
http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/348192/mini-notebook-medion-akoya-e1210-ms/
Got a big screen, 6-cell battery & 3 yr warranty.
Hope this helps someone.
Ha ha, just to confuse things more...
The Medion Akoya = MSI Wind = Advent 4211
They are all the same thing just with different names on them....
However the original Wind / 4211 / Akoya only came with a 3 cell battery = 2 hours battery life....
The newer models of Wind / Akoya come with 6 cell battery = 4 hours battery life.
9 cell batteries can be purchased online for all of these models = 6 hours battery life. Only problem is the more cells the battery has, the bigger it is.0 -
@ TangoBunny,
TBH you confused me a little when you said "I think I'll go with a netbook over a tablet"
A tablet (pc) is basically a laptop just without a keyboard and has a touch screen instead. It will usually run Windows like a laptop.
The Archos is a media player, not a tablet.... (although you're welcome to call it what you want)
Sorry if it seems like i'm being anal, i'm not at alljust trying to help...

The Secret GardenNuthing anal about it Morph
If you look at the Archos via google a lot list it as a media tablet or MP4
I'm not sure I would be able to get along with a touch screen
I know I'd get used to it but I can't even get used to operating my daughters laptop without a mouse so there's not much hope for me with a touch screen....lol:hello: LORRAINE :hello:0 -
So they do TangoBunny, I stand corrected... even their own website does...
This is what I have always thought of then I heard the word tablet in this context...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tablet_PC
They were never very popular though for exactly the reasons you mention.0 -

From the Nationwide website
"Will I be charged the Visa fee for withdrawing cash from a cash machine?
Select the country you are visiting from the list below, if it is listed as "no fee charged" you will not be charged. Otherwise you will be charged the fee. Please remember if you use your credit card to withdraw cash you will be charged a cash advance fee."0
