I am also dying to hear stoneman's review...really hoping I didn't raise expectations too high.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

we had a night there to try it out...we didn't really care for it ourselves but others like it...we were upgraded to a diamond room and it was nice enough but nothing terribly special...the room was very warm (they also have the limitation on the heating and cooling so you can't take it down below a certain temperature and we were uncomfortable. They advertise as 'all suites'...it's not really - it's 'all relatively largeish rooms' at best. The likes of Venetian and Palazzo have pushed the boat out on the suites thing. The casino is very lively...can be really fun, but at 8am I can do without really loud music blaring out everywhere and the like (I am SO old). They do have various shuttles to and from Rio which are pretty convenient...the one from Paris fills up though - so getting there early is essential as the shuttle only runs every 30 minutes. Getting back isn't so much of an issue as there are shuttles to several strip casinos from Rio, so you can just hop on the one that comes first really. There's a pretty decent restaurant selection there
We really like being able to walk out of the room and onto various casinos...for that reason alone we wouldn't stay at Rio for any extended period...it's nice enough in general, but we find it a bit too remote and a bit too lively for us at times...we really like to visit - it's a lot of fun if you're in the mood, but probably wouldn't stay there again.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Seems quite expensive compared to a lot off offers Venetian has had lately...too early for the good offers for July to be out yet I think...last summer they had an offer to pay the temperature each day in $ (so if it was $108, you paid $108 + tax that day per room - not per person)...while it's really hot in Vegas in July, it's nowhere near 200+ degrees each day.
No guarantee those sorts of deals will be out again, but in this economy, I think they will be doing a lot to entice people in over the summer when it's generally not peak Vegas visiting time due to the heat.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

I would think closer to the time you would be able to get $180 per night at least, roughly £600 or under.0 -
The Fremont street experienceFroggit, its a shame that palazzo deal is not available right up till Sept or I would book right away, its a fab deal. Do you think it will come round again, if not if I'm booking for Sept when do you think I should leave it till ? i.e. Book around April if I'm staying in Sept ? Or when do the best deals normally appear for that time of the year ?illegitimi non carborundum0
