But with $20 you are much more likely to get upgraded at PH and get a resort room with 2 windows and loads of space.
I know how much you love the MGM, but it is prob my least favourite
    he

We got an upgrade to a view of the fountains for $20 at PH and I would not say its a worse property than MGM just I dont like it, but $20 should also get you a Bungalow suite at MGM which whilst the view cant compete it has loads of space.

Excalibur have started offering a $25 24 hour buffet pass this is available to everyone not just guests, whilst it is not the best buffet on Strip it's certainly edible and this makes bedgeting easier and will certainly save a few people a few quid, it is a good deal

I saw that on vegas message board, and thought that is a good deal.

But I have never had a buffet at Excalibur and on reading all the reviews I am not sure that I want to.

I thought it was you ( I maybe wrong) who posted that MGM are not allowed to accept bribes for upgrades or they face the sack

When we go to Vegas we eat all over the place and we have eaten at the Excalibur buffet a couple of times, I thought that the breakfast was pretty good on a par with say Luxor, lunch was fine not great but not disgusting. I think that many people ho write comments on it are people who compare the buffet to say Wynn and do not take into account that it is half the cost, its good value and as long as you dont epxect the Wynn or even Mirage then it is great

It was a resort room we had that had next to no storage. It was on the bit that sticks out the front of the hotel. The two windows were nice, but lack of storage was a pain.

I agree that the Excalibur buffet (at least for breakfast) isn't as dire as a lot of people make out though we haven't eaten there in several years and would probably not choose to with all the other options available...but I don't really think $25 for the day is that great value for a few reasons...firstly, I can't imagine eating at any buffet 3 meals in one day (and I've never been accused of being a light eater) especially in the same location as we move around so much during the day...secondly, we rarely eat more than 2 meals a day in Vegas and thirdly, with various easy to find discounts I think you could eat for $25 or less with a larger variety of food and location. I suppose if you're going to be near to Excalibur all day and are happy that you'd get $25 value out of it it's a good deal...and I suppose at least a buffet offers some selection if you have a few people with different tastes but again, with all the 2-for-1 coupons out there for much higher quality buffets it doesn't seem that great value to me.

Totally agree ferf first glance a good offer but being stuck in the same place will be a pitfall
I still enjoy the monte carlo buffet for $20 or ellis island for $11.99 for the rack of ribs but could never eat in any more than once on any given trip

Had food in Hugo's cellar Friday in four queens would recommend to anyone but it is pricey for vegas/location but good meal was around $80 per head for 3course with drinks.

Had a bit of rain this week and vegas does not handle it well never seen so many car crashes this was due to the normal total lack of rain and when it does the oil/muck makes surface he'll so major tip give yourself lots of space

Just to respond about my comment about Bally's

I take it back, I was wrong! retrospectively you get what you pay for, and the deal I had with Bally's was very good, and in hindsight the stay was good.
It is in a good location for the money!
And it is, when the good deals are around very competitive.

Stratasphere is getting some good press, and people are happy with some of the works done to the rooms.

Vegas, you go for the most expensive you can afford, as you will enjoy yourself if you are staying in Imp Palace, or bellagio!

Last money saving point remember the Deuce you can have a trip ticket, a day ticket, a three day ticket or a month! and they are very frequent (But make sure you have the right money before you get on!

, for getting downtown to Freemont or the Outlet shops or uptown to Fry's or the other outlet shop's
