Maswaki lodge is cool its just accross from the Canyon 5 mins walkish really nice setting take a torch with you for night walks its so nice you wil have a great trip.
Good suggestion, in fact I would definately recommend staying overnight at the Canyon, to really make the most of your time there.0 -
The Volcano @ MirageThat's a very generous offer. Anyone who needs one should jump at the chance (and maybe slip you $20 to say thanks). I know I would if I needed one.
I dont want any money for this I feel I get more value out of my things if I share them :-) However if anyone who borrowed felt that it saved them some money if they made a donation to cancer research it would be nice. Its Vegas time -no longer :T a five year old has changed Vegas time to Orlando time0 -
We are going to be visiting Vegas for the first time in August (hoping we aren't going to fry) and are staying at PH.
Thanks for all the info, great thread!0 -

what about tomtom, anyone know which one to use?
I got the TomTom Go 700 for DH and it is now 3 years old, it has taken us all around France and Spain and you can ask it to find the nearest petrol station when getting low on fuel and have no idea where the next station is. It has found the most obscure hotels and better still it advises what lane to be in when on a motorway. We downloaded the USA map direct from the TomTom website and now we are all set for our trip in March.0 -

Thanks for all the info, great thread! The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
The Volcano @ MirageYes, you will fry!! Especially if you spend anytime around the concrete slab they call the pool. my tip, walk over to the Flamingo Go pool, pay $10 for guys, girls free, and enjoy the comfy cushioned beds and misters, not to mention the girls in their Flamingo pasties
Or walk into the Paris pool bold as brass where they do not ask for proof you are staying there to let you inIts Vegas time -no longer :T a five year old has changed Vegas time to Orlando time0 -

Strat rooms are better than IP IMHO but location is terrible and makes it a very bad choice,t Strat and Riviera are not good properties to compare. Its a mile beneath even Excalibur but I can see why you dont want to spend your whole trip in one area of the Strip. Its your holiday and your money and all Ihave tried to do is give you my opinion, I hope that you have a great stay wherever you stay mate.
thanks sew for the advise offered and i am taking it on board. as we have never been to vegas before we rely on others experiences in order to make our choices and i thank you for yours and all the others on this board. i am going to keep my eye out on the offers available between now and our trip and if and when one comes up in the beter quality hotels i can cancel this then. You are right about being able to get hotels of a quality that most of us could not afford anywhere else so maybe spending that little extra on a better hotel makes a lot of sense.
thanks again for the valuable advise.0 -
