Very interested, where from, even camskills are £45 each?0

aye, indeed. They don't seem to stock Falkens on that site so I can't compare properly.
Used the ones I have as I know the figures.
V rated tyres look to shave off £15 a tyre as well, strange as they are a rated to 149mph instead of 130mph.
Not sure about the insurance implications of modifying my tyres from the manufacturers spec to a V from a H to save money.
Just spoken to another Vauxhall dealer who is working and they would not fit V tyres to my car!!
hhhhmmmmm fishy at £15 a corner extra.
I'll have to check those reviews those before replacing in the coming weeks, or just use my van instead which has loads of tread!I beep for Robins - Beep Beep

Cant see that putting higher rated tyres on a car will go against you in an insurance or warrenty claim??? Some less informed people even put the wrong profile tyres on wheels and it doesnt effect those to my knowledge?!:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. Its no problem going up in tyre spec from say H to V, its when you go the other way that you're in trouble should anything go wrong.
You usually find that as the speed rating goes up, the tyre price usually follows it.0 -
Personally, I'd have to say that you've got to be carefull when going to certain tyre and exhasut centres. I work as an MoT tester and the amount of people that get "ripped off by some centres is terrible. I could fail a car for a blown rear exhaust section and it come back with all the exhaust including the catalsyt and 2 tyres replaced. When asked why, they reply that the centre had said I was begin kind to them but really they needed doing...
Others reply that they wrre told the catalsyt didn't work although I'd just tested it etc... Just a world of warning here to be a little carefull and dn't all take what your told to be true, get a 2nd opinion.0 -

I wouldn't worry to much about H or V rated tyres, it's just a speed rating. Most tyres rating will be fine for use on normal roads, you only really need a higher rated tyre if you plan to travel over 100 MPH or more which, of coarse, is illegal on UK roads.
Here's a list of the speed ratings for you
Speed Symbol, Approx MPH
Q = 99
R = 106
S = 112
T = 118
H = 131
V = 149
VR = 131
W = 168
Y = 186
ZR = 1490
