Spud, yes cambridge diet is meal replacements - you can do 600 calories a day or 1200 (I think). I like the SW plan but we have no facilities at work to cook just a microwave and not even a fridge....I find planning and stuff quite difficult plus nothing I have done seems to work at the moment and I lose the will to live after a week or two and go back to stuffing my face..

So I am going to try the cambridge diet for a month or so..

Toto, there is a new SW plan out shortly but I am not sure how it works...BB might know more by now

I struggle at work too. We only have a microwave, or we can have a school dinner, which often doesnt fit into the SW plan.

Dare I ask how much the Cambridge Diet costs?

  • right, I've seen the new SW plan..........for anyone who has done WW it seems very similar to Core Plan ie 3 meals with fruit inbetween (I'm going to ask if you can anything else apart from fruit)

Basically, you can mix free red foods and free green foods at the same meal and in unlimited quantities.

You can have 1 B choice and 1 A Choice.

You can have your normal 5-15 syns. However, if there is a difference in the syn value (ie it is 3 on a red and 5 on a green) you must count it as 3 syns (which is weird, I thought it would be the higher one!)

They also recommend a 1/3 plate of superfree foods at meal times but it isn't mandatory.

Think it's going to take a bit of getting used to - ie having chicken and potato on the same plate.

This bit means nothing to me... The syns are extras I'm guessing but um... 3 and 5 counted as 3... You're going to make me read books aren't you :rotfl:

Toto, I lost 3 stone on SW last year, but it's completely confused me too

Has it basically become a low fat, low sugar diet then BB

    'fraid so Toto! :rotfl:

Spud - basically, if it is free on a green, you can have it on the same plate as something free on a red day - ie - you can have chicken and rice - or beef and new potatoes - or bacon and baked beans.
All those would be ok on the new plan.

Where have you been Luc

We had a prowler Christmas Eve, who it would appear, came back and broke in on Saturday. Nowt taken, no mess, but broken french doors.

Called police to get a crime number in case we needed to claim on the insurance, and they were here within half an hour, fingerprint people soon after, and now Victim Support. We've been very well looked after ;)

Have a lovely NYE hun, I bet you cant wait to see bean in 2009 :T
