I managed not to cave in and order some lovely Bare Minerals yesterday :j
I really wanted some of the kits but the thought of how I felt stopped me when I fell off the wagon last time, closely followed by the thoughts of how much Bare Minerals I already have and how long they last without going off!
Many thanks for all the thoughts and support on this thread for helping me achieve this :A
Prior to this challenge I would have ordered 2 or 3 kits probably spending £80 without a second thought on my cc and I did not yesterday!:T :T
Be strong everyone - it is the turn of the Liz Earle fans to feel the strong pull of Liz and QVC increasing their cravings next weekend. First month down, and I did buy a sandwich for lunch one day last week. No excuses, just fancied it! Still one in a month isn't bad, and I am amazed at how long cash in my purse is staying there.
Back on the soups this week - with this weather, no hardship!!0 -
There is no chocolate in the house (except the drinking variety which doesn't count!).
I'm shaking already. Magazines? I can live without them. Chocolate? Now that's just plain torture!Natwest CC - [STRIKE]£2545[/STRIKE] now £0 :j

Well today I had my first failure.... I put what was meant to be stew in the slow cooker last night, and this morning it looked just like stuff the dog brings up when he's ill! So with no time or food (shopping only just been delivered now!) I had to buy some at work

Oh, that's not a fail - it's just an accident! If it looked like that then you couldn't have eaten it anyway - and a girl's gotta eat, you know!Grocery challenge: Jun£134.15/£120; Jul £60.90/£1200 -
Thanks Tracey, I think I have redeemed myself now.... I have just cooked OH a yummy thai green curry for his tea, and nicked a bit to take to work tomorrow... and I shall be asking OH to buy me a slow cooker recipe book for my birthday'We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars' - Oscar Wilde0

I found 2 hazel nuts in caramels from a box of quality street in my handbag this morning! Oh... it was bliss!

18 days in and I did have a little slip at the weekend.
Had to go to Boots to use my last No7 voucher that ran out Sunday ... and they had a couple of hair products reduced so much that I could get them for free with the current £2 haircare voucher (they give out this and a £5 skincare voucher when you spend £5). So got a Charles Worthington gloss spray and a Frizz Ease deep treatment that added up to less than the £2 voucher. And bought another pair with my 2nd £2 voucher!
I spent ages standing there in the aisle with the 2 little voices in my head going "You're not supposed to be buying hair products" and "But it's free and you can't waste the voucher".
Was feeling guilty but I've decided in the end that it's OK as I didn't actually spend any money on them!0 -
I've still not bought any magazines, amazingly! Am slowly getting through the stash of old ones. Haven't fared so well on the books though, bought a couple more from the 50p shelf at work - oops!
