I had a blip today - we have a charity bookshelf at work (hmmm...guess who set that up!
) where you can buy books for 50p each and there was one from my current favourite author and another that I've been dying to read so I bought them. I countered it by cancelling the £5 Avon order I was going to place, am I forgiven?

Started on the emergency Christmas chocolates today, and with OH having the munchies when he gets back from work, there's only one pack of Christmas crisps left!!! That should last till the end of the month, and then I have to work on not buying nibbles big time. It will be tough, but it will be good for me!
Spendaholic Chick - I know how you feel with the books. I can't walk past a bookshelf without wanting to buy... So far I've resisted by doing swaps with friends, but I know that I'm going to treat myself to a book when my pub wage comes through... and it will be a BRAND NEW ONE!!!! I'm already salivating!Natwest CC - [STRIKE]£2545[/STRIKE] now £0 :j

It was only £1 you spent so I wouldn't worry too much. I'd have found that very difficult too, especially at 50p per book. Well done for cancelling your Avon order:D100 Day Pot £13

I'm finding the easiest way to stick to the challenge is to avoid the things I can't buy as much as possible! This has had a positive side effect of not going shopping as much generally, so fingers crossed I am saving money on other things I would normally have bought as well as on my banned items. :j
I keep getting emails from feelunique, one of my fave websites for beauty stuff, about sale items and special offers , (if you've never heard of it, then don't even look - far too much temptation!). I have been v good though and have been deleting them without even clicking through to the website for a little look.
Feeling very virtuous, just hope it lasts!0 -
Good to see everyone doing so well! No blips to report yet. Tomorrow I will have gone 1 MONTH without eating any chocolate :T. Must be the first time since I was about 12 months old...:rotfl:People are telling me that, after the 100 days I will go wild and just buy everything I see. But like you I am hoping to be weaned off that particular habit by then!
I was worried about that when I did the first 100 day challenge (no make-up) and funnily enough, I was really resatrined at the end of it. I let myself buy anything I'd run out of to last through the next challenge, and only ended up spending 12 quid on a few bits of make-up. I think the challenge made me appreciate what I had a lot more. And buying a mascara or whatever became a real treat and not something to do just cos I was feeling fed-up.0 -
Another day done.... starting to crave choccie a bit now though!'We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars' - Oscar Wilde0
