Can I play too please? :j
I'm swearing off cosmetics, skincare & toiletries (such a weak spot as I'm overweight & they always fit!) also books, as I'm in danger of being washed away by a tide of intended reading material...oh, and heat! magazine (which should free up time for 'proper' reading!)
Thanks so much in advance - will be thinking of you all as I stride stoically past Lush this aft!0 -
Better late than never - can I join in? Seems as good a place as any for my first post.
Two things for me - not going to buy lunches at work and not going to buy cosmetics/toiletries (except deoderant) - plenty to use up so should see April 10th OK.
From the 1st Jan, so far so good on both counts.0 -
Could I join too. I sort of did the last one and would like to carry on. I won't be buying any cosmetics/toiletries (except deodorant and toothpaste) I have sorted all my cosmetics into wicker baskets, have another small basket in the bathroom with all the sachets of free samples for everyone to use. I haven't bought any cosmetics since well before the 1st of Jan, so am off to a good start0

Hello to all newbies and those finding it hard to keep going.
A quick update from me. I am on day 37/100 for me (as I started on 1/12/08), unbelievably I have spent only £3.62 :j since then on one deorderant and 2 packs of cotton wool pads (were on offer for 2) both things I was running out of.
I haven't spent as little as this for about 18 years so I am well pleased :j - only 13 days to go until I am halfway there!
It goes quicker than you think once you get the first week or two out of the way.
Come on, dig deep and keep going everyone , big hugs to all :Tfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -

Big hurdle for me today and I made it - had to go into Borders to get a notebook (making recipe book for a friend) and managed to leave with just the notebook:j :j :j

Day 2 for me and it's been a struggle! My favourite shopping channel has something 'special' on today which I REALLY want and have half been waiting for!! I hoped that it would be sold out by the time I got home from work, and I haven't dared check, just in case! :rotfl: I am determined tho' and have removed that particular website from my favourites. Let's hope that does the trick - haha!!Grocery challenge: Jun£134.15/£120; Jul £60.90/£1200

I have just the one stand with stuff in and all of it I am using currently :A
I also have 1 cupboard (which is the size of a narrow wardrobe - it really is taller than me, I am 5'7") and it is full to bursting.
I have dreams of top shelf - hand towels; next shelf - the very few toiletries that I should own; next shelf bath towels; bottom shelf loo rolls, loo cleaner etc allwith nice spaces round them
Rather than my current reality which is three shelves of toiletries and one shelf or everything else and whatever remains that doesn't fit in shoved up the sides (next to the toiletries) and balanced on heaps of toiletries£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)

Yup, Just like me and I didn't mention the 2 draers full of stuff and the wardrobe full of L'Occitane - what on earth have I been doing? Why have I only just woken up to this??? I'm not showing off about how much I have, I can't wait until they are run down and i guess it's going to take more than 100 days at this rate!!!
When it's run down I'm going to buy one of those nice bathroom units with a small space for skincare etc and towels and knock the cupboard out of the wall (after I've done the bathroom up!)
I had a face mask today only 2 more to use this collagen stuff up and popped on a matching eye mask to use these up. Planned the next lot of using up after the collagen stuff has gone. Still looks like a cheap skincare year at this rate!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
There's going to be a lot of MSE'ers with lovely glowing skin by April:D
I have been trying to work through toiletries fince before Xmas and felt I was making headway until I opened my Xmas presents:rolleyes: I'm not including the toiletries in my challenge though as I was already tackling them quite successfully.26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073
