    Hello & welcome to Susu1871 & poorandindenial :D

Numbers 26 & 27 respectively, great to have you along but sorry SuSu if you feel you were 'dragged' here :o . It's your own fault :p you shouldnt have told me about your cleverly co ordinated capsule wardrobe ;) made me realise that I too could have one of those. To be honest I have been feeling very envious of your converse's & that may be my downfall this year  .

I'm ashamed to say that I will probably never have to buy any new shoes again. Not that I have hundreds just that I have an awful lot I love but just dont wear because they dont match my lifestyle  . It's the pointless replacing of perfectly good items that I have to resist eg : I have a perfectly adequate pair of green wellies but I keep looking at 'pretty' ones that cost over £25  .

I think I need to add shoes to my list of things within the £100 budget, it is unlikely that I will wear out 3 pairs of trainers, 5 pairs of 'smart' flipflops, 6 pairs of boots, 5 pairs of 'heels - chance would be fine thing  & 10 + pairs of strappies/sandals/flats :o:o:o in the next year .

    Oh the shame :rotfl:
  • Another one from the single and in debt thread :hello:

My weaknes is catalogues, which will be thrown away as soon as I get them from now on. I still have a little bit to pay from last year, but wont be including that in this challenge.

Luckily, I take part in the royal mail postal surveys so get occasional high street vouchers which I will save up for shopping trips.

I'm also going to start looking in charity shops to see what I can find.

No weddings are planned for this year which is good, and I am planning a massive wardrobe sort-out this weekend to see what I want to keep and ditch.

Right, 2009. Bring it on! :p

Damn! I tracked this thread down and now I will have to join:D . Anyway, as my fellow Single and in Debters, including the fabulous Lula, will know, I currently can't make any sudden moves or loud noises in my room in case I am killed in the avalanche of the piles of carrier bags and boxes containing lots of unworn clothes which surround me. They don't quite fit but they soon will. :j

So, I have no need of anymore clothes. Which has never stopped me before. But this year will be different (again). I will only spend £100. I will wear the clothes I have. I am going to have a number (please). That will make it official.

That sound you can hear is me, sobbing.

  • Hello everyone :hello:

Please count me in for this challenge. Clothes are my real weakness - I spend so much on impulse buying stuff I don't even need.

I am also going to include handbags in my £100 as I do not need anymore - and have no room for them anyway.

It's going to be tough !

  • Can I have £100 for normal clothes, £100 for work clothes? I am including shoes, coats and everything in between. If so, I'm in!

Thats probably all I spend on clothes a year anyway. If you're discounting shoes. The £100 a year would include accessories and underwear for me.
I just can't afford to buy clothes for myself, so its only real necessaries I buy. I ask for clothes/vouchers from my family for christmas/birthday.

  • I'd love to join! I've been a lurker for about a year now but have decided that this year is our year to start getting out of debt and this challenge seems right up my alley as most of our debt is from MY shopping!:p

Sorry to disappoint you sweetie but that doesnt count as it's a 2008 spend the challenge starts from tomorrow so you still have £100:j.

:T Thanks Lula hun, changed my signature to the top from M+S bought today in the sale reduced from £29.50 to £9 and a new pair of pj's reduced from £29.50 to £12. :rotfl:

That comes £21 leaving £79 left for the year!

Still, having read all the other posts on the thread I will dig out all my shoes from the black hole and see what outfits they go with and look at my clothes to see what I can wear from what I don't wear at all now. Will sell any surplus and make a list of what else I might need to see me through this year

Have plenty of coats and shoes and bags tho's as this used to be my major habit in the past and barely wear them as I usually wear one all of the time (duh!:o )

This challenge is making me think alot about what to buy and not to buy in all areas!!:T Hard work tho' today in the sales with OH

My first spend on clothes for this year. £18 in the tesco sale on 2 tops and a skirt for work. However, the skirt doesn't look right on me so it'll be returned tomorrow with £5 refund so £13 spent on clothes (which would have cost £33 before the sale) leaving £87 for the rest of the year.

I'll add it to my signature.

    Hi there
Can I join in on your £100 challenge too please? I spend far too much on clothes - I cannot resist a "bargain" but then all too often I end up never even wearing it, so I think this could be a good challenge for me to join in with!
    xx
