I went shopping today - in my own wardrobe :T :T :T
I have got so many things I haven't worn for years so I am rediscovering them (many of which still have their tags on)£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)
Sealed Pot #389 (2010=£133)0 -
Am going to spend the weekend sorting out my wardrobe, I will pile them into keep/bin/charity shop and hopefully just have nice things left. I hate throwing things out but I think I will find it very a good learning experience and I will finally have more space.
I think this could be the way forward :T I am going to organise my wardrobe too, it might help emphasise everything I've GOT and hence don't need any more of!0 -

Brilliant :rotfl: .
Well done Buffy :A
Ooooh sarah - you must always pack away clothes at the end of the season, it's so much fun re opening the next year ( a bit like christmas stockings) & seeing the old faithful friends & stuff unworn is all new & full of promise. I have a trunk left over from boarding school days & put both mine & any of DDs clothes that were too big in & then we have a 'grand reopening' ceremony. This year it WILL be fun because I WILL be able to fit into everything
. There's always stuff you'd forgotten about too, some good :j & some OMG what was I thinking
.
I was given a bag of clothes for DD today & as they're all a bit big, will probably be perfect for next year... would it be terribly wrong to make her do the challenge next year instead of me.

I know it's late but i'd like to join..... i haven't spent anything so far this year (i know it's only the 5th! lol)
£100 for the year... i was already planning not buying anything for me or Erin before end of march... so £100 for the remaining 9 months is feasible! eeek!
no weddings this year, so that helps...!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -

I don't know what your budget is, but Next clothes are good and there's at least 50% off at the mo. I don't wear suits now, but when I used to I always thought it best to pay a bit more for a good quality suit that'll last (waistline permitting!) than buy a dead cheap polyester one.
Mind you, I only shop at M&S now, because I HATE shopping so would rather keep it to one shop where I know everything fits. There are suits on there for £50 (not in the sale though).
Hope this helps.£27k (excluding interest) paid off in 29 months
Finally debt free!0
