I've been watching this thread for a few days and I am really tempted but... I'm due to give birth in April (to my one and only) and although I don't think I'll need to buy anymore maternity clothes unless I start to explode I think I'll need to buy some post pregnancy clothes...
So can I just say that I'll keep an eye out on you all and wish you all the very best of luck!!!

Remember I returned those trousers to put my New Look card £10 in credit?
Well, I was in there today (I really have to quit New Look...) and bought 2 tops - one for £3 and one for £8. I was all ready to confess to my £1 spend over my £10 limit, but the £3 top was half price to £1.50 so I should still be in credit when the New Look bill arrives :j
Still no spends to declare. It's a flipping miracle0 -
I reckon that for me at least, trying to cut down on clothes expenditure might be easier now than if I was still in my teens/twenties.
I don't mean that now I'm not a teenager/early twenties that I don't want to look trendy and well-dressed anymore, but simply that I do not have the same compulsion to try to dress at the 'cutting edge' of high street fashion anymore. This is no doubt my brain's way of preventing me from ending up ''mutton dressed as lamb'? :rotfl:
I had this thought while looking at a couple of evening dresses hanging in my wardrobe, e.g. standard black evening dress isn't the the kind of thing that dates easily .... and a lot could be said of much of the rest of my clothes... with a bit of care many could be in service for years to come!
yes, you can tell that i'm still stuck in my 'trying to appreciate what i've got' mood0 -
Well i've buckled already lol!God i'm hopeless! Went in woolies and got ds1 a pr of school trousers and swim trunks, also popped into Next and got him a coat for the winter and a couple of tops, plus my eldest son a pr of shorts for summer and a top, all in the sale half price. I did actually buy myself quite a bit as i literally have 4 tops in my size and they are getting tight but that was spent with my xmas money and vouchers so i still have my £100! I am pleased tho as i loved a coat in Debenhams for £18 which my ds3 would have looked great in but i resisted, and all the other nice outfits in there, it was only 30% off, hubby wanted to buy him a coat that was £27 eek! so i puled him out quickly - normally i'd have spent about £80 in their sale but i told hubby we would be buying just cos we want it, not cos they need it!
Am not going back into town or Asda for as long as poss now, as ds1 needs summer clothes this year in the next size, and will need school jumpers come september and tho i try to buy 2nd hand ones (£1 each!) they go like ho cakes. DS2 starts school but he will have my eldests jumpers to wear.Just four jumpers from school for ds1 will cost about £32 so thats quite a chunk, plus he'll need shorts for PE soon so i definitely need to avoid anymore spending now!grocery challenge jan 17 £ / 350.000 -

i went shopping yesterday to change some thing dd got for her bday that didnt fit, went to mothercare and they had loads of things in the maternity sale which i wouldnt of been able to resist normally and would of just got things as they were in the sale, but i walk right past!!! yeah, and also only spent a extra £1.50
(could of got sooo much...)so im happy with myself, i dont need any more maternity clothes i have more then enough to last me the next 3mths and then i think to myself ill have more for afterwards when i have nothing to wear!! Only thing i will need is feeding bras etc but im sure underware wasnt included on this?? i hope not as i need them and its not a luxury so i wont be including any i need to get out of the £100 - also need new maternity ones as they no longer fit!!!
hope your all doing well..GC: Nov: £60.22/£450 Oct: £338.48/£450, July: £363.05/£450, June £447.98/£500£2 savers No68: £104/£100 :j:jmummy to: 8yr, 5yr, 3yr, 2yr, 1yr. No6 Due Mar 2013 My world.:j0 -
Oh dear.....ive given in to the temptation already....called into Primark on my way home from work
As underwear isnt included in this (thank god) that means its just a top and a jumper that counts, total of £9.79!
Could have spent a hell of a lot more, but this was enough to satisfy my shopping cravings...for now :rotfl:
I shall change my sig to add this in now0
